Bottom line is we asked for wood and we got hideous, teeny tiny melamine cabinets. Think plastic, not wood. They are so shallow and small that they will not hold a dinner plate or any pots and pans! Our contract said "30 inch uppers"to be made of "alder..." These are 26 inch uppers with 10 inch interiors...too small to hold anything.Their initial "floor plan" was way off, by more than 30 inches, and included an extra set of drawers in that nonexistent 30 inches. More than a month went by with many unanswered emails and requests from us to come correct the floor plan by remeasuring. No one EVER took or wrote down correct/exact measurements. They sent "revised" plans over one month later that still were incorrect and never did include the changes we tried to communicate. They could not provide the color of stain or the hinges and hardware we wanted and ignored our questions. We finally went and bought our own hardware. When we were shocked to receive the tiny sized melamine instead of wood cabinets, Mark said, "These are wood..........veneer." Nobody I know equates wood veneer with wood. These are melamine and we hate them. They are noisy, ugly, tiny, garish, hung so high wife cannot reach them and not at all what they were supposed to be in material or size, causing kitchen to be less than functional. They were supposed to replace as exactly as possible our previous wood cabinets' configuration, size and material...which were much much larger. Who in the world would bring melamine cabinets to put into a historic-designation log cabin? Crestwood did, without a clue and without warning us what they were thinking, and absolutely terrible communications. There's a whole lot of exposed, raw particle board throughout that will not wear well (we despise particle board) and we have received zero paperwork about warranty or service, and zero followup on final touchups or fixes after the install..I am told our requests have been "referred to the service department.." but haven't heard a word about finishing up per my emails. Do NOT use Crestwood read more
