Officer James T Nuanes is very unprofessional as you can see in a previous post about him. He…read moreswerved in my lane from the shoulder of an off-ramp and I almost rammed into him hadn't I braked and swerved to the right lane (exposing me to another potential accident). Dude had a bad attitude after I told him how dangerous what he did was and he trumped up my speeding ticket, he told me I was going 50 in a 40 zone before I confronted him about his dangerous driving and then he came back with a ticked saying I was going 58. He handed it to me and walked away so fast before I could even take a look or ask questions. Dude seems to be miserable and takes it out on drivers lol.

The City of Denver supports stop lights that are 'timed'. I know this. I always (for over a year…read moreI've been driving this route) look for the one at the bottom of the hill while West-bound on Park Ave when it crosses Globeville Rd. My reactions were not 'on' one morning (7A... shift-change time for the police) and I caught the 'edge' shall we say of a red light. Of course a squad was there (I KNOW this... they're ALways there) and I got absolutely no empathy when the male cop who pulled me over. Okay, I ran a red light. I have a CLEAN license. There was nobody at this intersection for 3 more minutes. Get off with a warning?...Um, NO. But here's my point: He said he appreciated my explanation, but I should have been slowing down from the time I was coming down the ramp and saw the YELLOW light. That's really interesting. I've been (now) timing this light. The yellow light stays yellow for THREE SECONDS. The one closer to Coors Field (next one going East) stays yellow for over SIX SECONDS. So.. just sayin'... I now know why I see so many people pulled over (only) West-bound on Park Ave immediately after this light. It's a money-maker. That's ALL it is. How can one go from 35mph (which is the posted speed limit) to 0mph in 3 seconds?

Big large park with a 1/2 mile walkway around the water. The pooch got to say hi to few other dogs…read moreso it was a productive outing. If I go back it'll be on a weekday, weekends are busier than I'd like. Riff raff

According to class gossip, Kyla and I are strippers full time when we are not at silversmithing…read moreclass. Not sure how this title got awarded to me by a bunch of strangers in my class, but somehow Buzz (one of the teachers) thinks that Kyla and I strip. Kyla and I are the youngest students in the class by about 30 years, and, well, how can I say this nicely, this isn't the classiest of courses to take... but for $80 what can you expect? Bring your humor and your creativity and you can get a lot out of a class like this. I scored high on my mom's "Who is my favorite child this holiday list" because I made her a turquoise pendent for Mother's day/her 60th birthday. The same group of teachers have been putting on the class for the past 30 years, and although some of them seem a bit grouchy, tired and pissed that we are all there... I think they have fun teaching us. $80 is the cost of the course, and it buys you 10 different days of two-hour classes and you get to make three different projects: a pendent, a lightning bolt bracelet, and a box ring. This class takes a lot of patience and attention to detail... You will especially fit in nicely if you wear overalls and bring your toolbox full of jewelry making tools.... Kyla instead found me a purple caboodle that is in great condition, and this has worked just great... Except nobody seems to know what a caboodle is in the class. This class is not acceptable for people who get very competitive because there will always be that person who has worked on the sawing of their silver while they were home watching "Dancing with the Stars" this past week, and you will always be behind them, so don't even try. Overall, this is a great way to awaken on your creative side and do something different. And men, don't be shy, there are tons of gents in the class... And a guy that knows how to make jewelry will always get you extra brownie points. Hyland Hills also offers other exciting creative adventures such as: Skydiving simulator, tap dance, or disc golf... among other goodies and adventures. * Star one is for offering a creative outlet to the public that is affordable, accessible and instructive ** Meet star number two, he is presented to the sliversmithing class for allowing me to become an amateur stripper... Hey, where are the tips anyway? *** Star three is for the opportunity to make jewelry on equipment that is hard to have access to otherwise Star four was stolen due to the lack of sexiness in the class... I mean, obviously Kyla and I were sexy, but the process is more frustrating and rushed then encouraging and innovative. Mista star five was taken way due to the ghetto and far location off of Federal.
