My appointment here was terrible, and quite possibly traumatic as well (coming from someone who's…read morealready afraid of dentists). First off, the lack of private rooms irked me. The setup was very similar to a hair salon, without the pleasant atmosphere. The dental assistant was fairly nice, nothing really to complain about there. She sat me down for some X-rays, asking my dad to go sit out in the waiting room until she was finished. But once the X-rays were done, she didn't go back to get him. The dentist was already coming in for the exam and nobody was getting my father for me. I asked them maybe five or six times to get my dad, and explained that I could sign a consent form for him to be with me if needed (since I'm 18) The dentist was very rude, and denied me several times- even though I explained that I was terrified and going into a panic attack. Finally, I sat up and said very loudly "If you don't get my father right now, I'm leaving." And after that, the dental assistant was sent off to get my father. The dentist was obviously annoyed. The rest of the exam was decent, but I wouldn't go back. The dentist was very rude to me. Though it may seem like not that bad of an experience, I still shouldn't be denied the right to have my father there, nor should I have to explain my past experiences and mental illnesses.
