They also perfectly handled the allergies and intolerances of our table, the waitress went out of her way to make sure everything was correct. Not only is the food affordable with large portions, but it is all absolutely delicious. I got the savory crepes, my boyfriend got the steak Benedict bowl special, and my family members got variations of the same for their lunch. Everything was spectacular. The steak Benedict bowl special was the standout for us here, the steak pieces were perfectly cooked. There's indoor and outdoor seating and both are beautiful with great views! With the French vibes of the place and the care given to each dish in the menu, I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable our family meal was. Open since February 2026, Moeya Japanese Cafe has a variety of lunch items (yakisoba, omurice, sando, cakes) which you first order from a kiosk, and then pickup once your number is called. The place is cozy and cute with plush stuffed animals that give it a cheerful atmosphere. My son loved the omurice with Japanese curry (which has generous portions). The Yakisoba was also quite tasty with bonito flakes. The cafe is a little hard to find - it's just off Main Street about half-way to Draper Road (across the street from the Blacksburg Museum and Cultural Foundation building. Service at Moeya is pretty good - but it feels like a cafeteria (you must remove you own dishes and trays after eating). I hope this place thrives for years to come!
