If a claim is made, the team refuses…read moreto actually address the issue, leaving the homeowner forced to make multiple appointments, wait 2-4 hour windows for each appointment, with no resolution, then requires scheduling another appointment with someone else... months of games, and while there was resolution, they caused a second issue and refuse to correct it. We had a broken leaking water heater, and they refused to fix it for two months. The water bill just came in, and it's almost $400 for less than 60 days. Lennar finally swapped the water heater, but refuses to pay the exorbitant bill that they ran up. I repeatedly alerted them to the issue, made multiple requests, and at each appointment, got lectured how go use a water heater. It was broken. The codes stated that, and it wasn't working, so lecturing the homeowner wasn't fixing anything. And the solar they included in our contract? They refuse to complete their part of the paperwork, so it remains discontinued. GAF, the company they chose to partner with, is unreachable. They do not answer The phone number, nor return any calls. Currently, when we flush two toilets at the same time, the fire alarm goes off. We have to report this, but DREAD how they treat customers. It's incredibly frustrating.

Not only did she not grasp the fact that my wide and I were working when a decision had to be made (within minutes) but when asked to provide the cost breakdown she decides to send a picture that she took with her phone of the computer monitor? She finally send an email in which she openly admitted she messed up on and to disregard the price discrepancies. All I was asking for was correct information to review and the response we got was very condescending "this is the home you wanted and I spent a lot of time with you. I'm getting a hold of you on my day off just to help you, so if I don't get an answer from you then we will move on" I could say more about how unprofessional she was but I will leave it at that. Let's just say I talked to her before her text outbreak and confirmed we were moving forward, provided an email stating we are moving forward and and 3 texts saying we were moving forward, but Brenda continued her path of being rude just because I wanted to review full documents vs what she was verbally informing us about! My advice stay away and avoid future headaches. I have never dealt with such incompetence before. She couldn't even justify the discrepancy on different home loans which changed the overall price of the home purchase ?!? The sad thing is we were already approved for a home loan and are in a position to purchase.

My Father in Law has a Lennar home so we decided to go to the new ones to see what all the fuss was about. The nice thing about Lennar, is that everything is already included! No having to deal with pesky upgrades that bump up the purchase price; what you see is what you get. The homes themselves were our favorite out of all the new homes communities we have seen... And there have been a lot! The craftsmanship that goes into each house is apparent in all the details. I also liked how they had more than one one story floor plan. They also had two floor plans that included a separate granny unit which would be convenient to rent out or have your elderly parents live in. The homes range from about $440,000-$650,000 so you are definitely paying for all that you get, but you really get your money's worth out of the Lennar houses.

I love my neighborhood, but read on... I have lived in a Lennar home for three years now. The sales staff is wonderful and informative. Before moving in, we went through an inspection and I had to have things corrected like improperly wired items. When the house was done, there was issues with the water draining (it clogs up), the toilets not flushing, cracks in the ceiling and water damage through vents. My main issue is that there have been three customer service techs assigned to the area in three years. They make you submit a claim online and then they ignore it or tell you that you're the problem for your issue. It's a new home-- it's clearly issues they need to fix, especially when the neighbors get together on websites like Nextdoor.com and realize they all have the issue. I don't like being shined on from a minimum-wage paid service tech. Calls to corporate go unanswered and I'm shuffled around throughout their organization. I get lots of letters in the mail from lawyers who are soliciting clients for a law suit against the company and although I've never been they type to seek resolution through litigation, I may have to consider it. Just overall, poor, poor service.

Gary was also super kind to extend the offer to answer any additional questions I might have. Very disappointed with our experience with JMC Homes…read more We went into this purchase with realistic expectations. We knew a production home would not have the same level of quality as our previous home, and we were comfortable with that because the JMC model appeared to meet the level of quality we were looking for at this stage of our lives. What we weren't prepared for was the difference between the model and the home we actually received. Among other things, we experienced significant issues with both the paint and the fabrication of our large kitchen island. In the model, the paint appeared properly applied and the granite was beautifully fabricated, with smooth, glossy surfaces and clean, straight edges. Our home was noticeably different. When we raised concerns about the island, we were told it was a "production" home and "blow and go." JMC's proposed solution was to refabricate the granite inside our finished home rather than remove it and properly fabricate it elsewhere. Because of the aesthetic and health concerns, we ultimately paid to replace the island ourselves at considerable expense. JMC has also refused to repaint areas of the exterior that we believe were improperly painted or even provide us with the paint so we can address them ourselves. We are now considering arbitration. We understood we were buying a production home. What we didn't expect was a "good enough" attitude toward workmanship and such a noticeable difference between what was represented in the model and what was delivered. It truly feels like a bait and switch experience. If you're considering JMC, look beyond the model. See completed homes, ask detailed questions about warranty issues, and understand exactly what JMC considers acceptable production quality before you sign. Also, add $15-25,000 to your budget to correct the substandard quality JMC Homes deems "good enough."
