Competitive Dance Team performing at the Homecoming Rally.

The CVHS dance team performs at the spirit rally on campus. They perform at many on campus and off campus events.

I attended a HS soccer game that was held on the football field. Parking options are horrible. Your better off parking on the bridge overpass on Ramsdall St. then walkup to field area for entry. Luckily there was one open pedestrian gate to enter the field, otherwise you have to walk through a very tall, one person security turnstile. Good luck trying to lug chairs & a canopy through that turnstile. The field & track is nicely maintained, with very limited seating options...small 4 pods of 5 row bleachers. But the beautiful mountains backdrop view makes up for it.

This is the best public high school in the area. Great bang for your (parent's) tax dollars. 9/10 would pay property taxes again.

Most of the funding only funds the robotics and cinema teams. Teachers do not teach and fail students on purpose and the administration has not done anything to fix the problem since they don't hear anyone out. We told the counselors about the issues they're having with teachers but they don't care at all and never do anything about it. I told my teachers before hand that I had a competition to go to and needed extra time to do the homework, I finished it and showed it to them and they said that apparently it's too late, it was impossible to finish all the homework they assigned, plus the extra homework they gave in one day so they gave me a zero. Kortoshian and Landisi ruined this school and they don't know how to run a school. They give you a ton of homework and tests which take away all your free time. No one deserves to go to this school.

Clark touts recognition at the state and national levels for being a top school, and likes to promote its GUSD-leading API ranking, but let's be honest here, the bar is low. There are a few staff members and teachers who care about and do their jobs well, but on the whole, Clark is a case study on academic mismanagement and why many students in the American educational system succeed in spite of the schools they attend rather than because of them. As I sit here at 27 years of age writing this, I'm fairly happy with where I am in my life. I graduated from a top university and work at a job I love, which just happens to be with one of the most successful companies in history. I'm not trying to come off sounding like a tool here, but I want to make it clear that my success in these two areas commonly associated with a quality high school education came as a result of my own hard work, talent, and determination rather than anything Clark can take credit for. Thank you, Clark, for the 'innovative' curriculum that ended up being completely misaligned with the first-year prerequisites at nearly every U.S. university, the lack of any *quality* extracurricular activities, and your Draconian code-of-conduct which sought to stifle any sort of self-expression and created a culture hell-bent on breeding America's next group of mindless followers rather than its future innovators, thinkers, and leaders. On a more personal note, thanks for the 4 or 5 (?) suspensions as well. Like Andy Oh, I guess I too am a gangster. This review is getting too long and angsty already, so I think I'll end here. I will leave you with one last funnier memory, though. During one of its first years in operation, Clark was extremely excited to field a team for the district-wide academic bowl. Expectations were set high since, you know, Clark was full of nothing but the brightest students being coached by the best staff. End result? Last place finish.

The micro-school approach really caters to each individual student. 1. Awesome teachers and small class sizes offer exceptional individual attention. This allows thriving students to work ahead and those who need a little more support to both receive the customized care they deserve. 2. The principal has a vision. He utilizes all of the resources available and applies them to the students in a very targeted and distinctive manner. The school's standardized test scores quantitatively demonstrate this by improving year over year and outpacing those of neighboring schools. 3. I truly believe great families make a great school. We have both. Parents are honest, ethical, and actively participate in the progress of the school. 4. Holy Redeemer - St. James School is grounded in the morals and virtues of faith. Not easy to find in many schools nowadays. I am so grateful and happy to be part of the HRSJS Community.

In line with this mission, we also work diligently to help our students achieve our Student Learning Expectations (SLEs). Our SLEs are the guiding principles that shape our students into well-rounded individuals. The integration of these SLEs into our curriculum is seamless, and it's heartwarming to witness our students embrace them in their daily lives.
