Staff is very nice and welcoming at Crescent. The food is actually VERY good as well to be hospital food, I was very impressed. Miss Lisa (RN) did amazing when taking my blood. Im TERRIFIED of needles and she was patient, nice, and didn't make me feel stupid for being ridiculously afraid of needles. She fanned me when I was drenched in sweat (lol) and it actually didnt hurt that much at all. She knows what shes doing. Macy (RN) also was very nice and helpful. She bought me a Gatorade with her own money to help rehydrate me. So sweet! Theres a few other names I cannot remember but will update when I get the names. i came into the hospital for high blood pressure and a bladder infection. I signed in the same.. i was 3 hrs in waiting for Dr to return' instead they where waiyin on blood results that was NOT NEVER EVER SPOKE ABOUT' no bllod pressure medicine was given because he said I lost weight so no need ' to refill. he also ordered test without my consent or his discussion with me ' that the nurse actually walked in an said we are waitin in results to test. me- what results) your blood work. never taken ' never discussed' then she said oh he now saying we need to swab you for additional test. no the hell you not' not only was my tome wasted' that all seemed lost' i signed to leave out' the paper work said i came into for lower back pain. yes .. GHETTO to say the least. This hospital is severely disappointing and falls far below acceptable standards. The doctors and staff seem indifferent, showing little care for their patients. It's especially disheartening when I compare this to my experiences at UT, where the nurses and staff are dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic about their work. The level of care and attention here appears to be influenced by the hospital's location and the demographics of the surrounding area. This is particularly troubling, as minorities already face systemic challenges in accessing quality medical treatment. The hospital itself reflects its neglect it's outdated, unclean, and lacks modern equipment and interior updates. It feels like a low-budget facility that prioritizes cost-cutting over patient care. I hope this hospital makes improvements in both its infrastructure and its approach to patient care, as the current state is unacceptable for any community. It put you in the mind of a spooky hospital on TV I had a sister that was that hospital and some of the nurses was very friendly, but the night nurse that was in her room for the night act like she know what she was doing , she kept saying well I don't know. I do not recommend sending loved ones to this hospital. While the ladies that work at the front desk are friendly and helpful, the nursing staff and doctors lack bedside manner. One of my loved ones had to come here for a procedure and during their stay, they were not treated with respect. The nurses on the floor did not agree with each other. One nurse made my loved one feel really uncomfortable. Avoid this hospital. Most places right now have a slow turnaround time for responding to room calls, but even if your team is understaff, you should show more empathy and compassion when dealing with patients. read more

Just left this hospital with my god daughter. This is the worse I wouldn't take my dog to that place... my god daughter is eight months n she's been fussing since 3 this morning.. but let this hospital tell it it's nothing they can do because of her. But they Say you get buy meds over the counter..! I'm confused. Is she to young or not for meds. Another they left in the room for two hours without saying anything. I initially went in for an ear infection. They diagnosed pretty quick and sent me home with antibiotics. I experienced an extreme amount of pain in my ears/face for about and decided to go back. it was clearly understaffed staffed (which isn't abnormal). But there was no one at the front organizing the line of traffic that was coming in. since there was a couple at the help window I just politely waited some distance behind them as they completed their paperwork. About 20 minutes pass (I still have not been acknowledged) and a privileged woman comes in and gets right in front of me. The receptionist stops helping the clients in here face and helped the woman that came and got I front of me. I didn't make it a big deal, but then the lady asked me why I didn't let her know I was there and I advised "you had a customer in your window" and she began to spill out excuses "well, we are sort staffed, I can't do this alone, this is a conflict of interest" (which I don't even know what she was talking about with the last statement. I was already irritated due to the wait and lack of organization so I just left. Even my first visit wasn't all that, they just got the job done- if that. I would not recommend. I was told this facility is always being shut down and open end back up and I can see why. Their accreditation on the wall was also expired. read more

I went to this 'hospital' with a sodium & potassium deficiency. I wasn't in my right mind because of my condition. Not only did the nurses & security guards ridicule me & laugh at me, but I was tackled to the ground causing a brain hemorrhage. A few days after leaving this place, I got a staph infection. I visited Crescent back in April 2020 for a wellness check. Since I didn't have insurance I paid out of pocket, but was later informed I had in fact overpaid and was due a refund. To date I'm still trying to get my refund of $470. The gentleman I've spoken to in the billing office, Edward, has been polite and nice, as were a few of the women over billing, but I still have no idea what's going on with who's supposed to be processing the refund. I just keep being told that they'll talk to somebody about getting my refund processed. I've had to call Crescent every day now asking about the process and still haven't received any of my money. I don't think I'll be visiting here again in the future. read more

Had chest pain in er was told to wait. BP was 188/99 when they got around to seeing me. Friday morning. They don't to testing until Monday I came to find out. Nurses don't monitor you. My alarm was going off frequently. One shift never came to my room. Meals are not on time. Had event Sunday night 191/99 no one came at all. Even when they did the test they said they were normal. My cardiologist found out otherwise. Don't ever go to this hospital. Especially on the weekends. read more

Got a call from a bill collector for a bill for $1450 for a visit to a urgent care clinic for uti. This clinic was owned by this medical center. The clinic receptionist said they were able to verify my insurance and I paid a copay. Now I've got this bill which I paid because bill collectors were hounding me. I must have received a bill but it didn't say Texas Urgent Care so it didn't ring a bell. I've disputed the bill but haven't heard from anyone. This should have cost no more than 200 for usual And customary charges. I gave a urine specimen spent one minute with a doctor and had a Rx electronically sent. OUTRAGEOUS!!! read more

Worst hospital ever! They are very rude! I brought in my mom and sister for covid and they treated them so horrible! They kept sending my mom home and they straight up complained about my mom continuing to go to the er. Clearly somethings wrong that's why she's going! I called to check up on them and the Receptionist name KEKE was by far the rudest thing ever. I took my sister to another hospital and they asked her if she's gotten any blood work done bc clearly she did. The doctor said someone who worked on my sister RUPTURED MULTIPLE VAINS! If you have to stay in this place for more than a day you need to have an advocate with you the whole time! This is true of almost all hospitals now, the entire medical profession is a broken pile run by insurance companies. But this one is a little worse than most, you need to have someone you trust sit in your room the whole time you are there. It's still going to be a battle to get any kind of care at all, but at least you might not suffer serious harm from neglect. read more

I had to take my elderly mother here who has a late stage of dementia and can't feed herself and incontinent can't use the bathroom so she was solely dependent on nurses/ and aides for feedings , washing bathing etc... this was the worst experience I have ever witnessed in any hospital. The cafeteria aids would bring her food and just sit on the table and it would get cold since the nurses would come in an hour after her food was sitting there so she never got fed on time, never got her alzheimers meds on time always 45 minutes to a hour late, trash never changed until late, no small towels in the bathroom to wash her face. The Nurses were NO WHERE IN SIGHT ... we could not find a nurse to assist when needed . The doctor became a ghost and never came back after day one to give an update on my mothers condition. This was truly a nightmare I will never in life visit this hospital again. read more

I had spinal fusion surgery here September 3rd, the hospital didn't file my insurance properly and they refuse to pay. Now I am getting bills for $717k nearly not even itemized bills from Crescent. I am on month four of dealing with them getting a different story every time I speak with anyone, or not having administration return phone calls or emails. So far I'm giving a 1 star rating. Its is 31/20 11:53pm. I brought my daughter in because of possible miscarriage. I had to ask some what to do to get her seen. The set up is terrible. How can you see patients coming in if the window to the nurse is dang near around the corner. Then a man comes out and says someone will give us paper work. Shortly after that the woman comes out and says " We don't have an OB here" THIS IS A HOSPITAL, in sure you have one on call. Like what the hell. Why would I drive over 20 minutes while my daughter is possibly miscarrying. I needed to get to the nearest hospital. So, am I to assume no doctor here knows how to preform a sonogram or tell if my daughter is miscarrying. I will be calling the medical board in the morning. This place is a disaster! Avoid getting a Covid test (or any other medical attention) at Crescent Lancaster. After checking in and signing all the paperwork, I was told to wait in my car until they called my cell.... I sat for 3 1/2 hours! NO CALL. I finally went back in to check on the situation, the clerk states "someone should have called you.... we are too backed up to take any more tests tonight... sorry.... try again tomorrow." That's it.... no call, no attempt to tell me or any other suckers sitting in their cars out in the cold waiting for tests that were not going to happen tonight. As if this COVID mess wasn't stressful enough, Crescent Medical Center was able to take a bad situation and make it so much worse! This is my favorite hospital because it's so small and everyone is super nice. I was admitted to room 317 on Jan 23 2019 and the staff continued to go above and beyond fir my every need. So with that being said Thank You to the whole staff especially Robert, Lisa, Nikki, Winifred, Shaquietta, Churchill, Dr Brian, and im very sorry if i left anyone out but everyone i came in contact with that worked there was absolutely GREAT! I was in excruciating abdominal pain and was taken here by ambulance. Upon arrival, the front desk nurse argued with the paramedic while I lay on the gurney about why they brought me here, and that they had no beds. Her first comment was "Why is she here? Noone called me." They had radioed in, I heard the conversation in the ambulance. One guy in the back of the room spoke up uneasily that he had spoken to the paramedic. Then proceeded to tell him that they have to take me elsewhere cause they have no room for me. Unfortunately, the paramedic stood there gape mouthed, and I was in so much pain I wasn't in any condition to argue with anyone. Finally, she decides that she can put me in the OB room, and then when I began to get moved to the chair, she tells me if it is OB related that they wont be able to help me anyways and they will have to send me elsewhere. They have no OB/GYN equipment, sonogram, etc. Nor do they have an OB/GYN physician. after about 20 minutes, my husband arrived and I had had very little contact with anyone so I told them to release me so I could go to a real emergency room. This facility is not an Emergency Room. Do not put your life in the hands of this facility because they probably don't have the equipment to handle it. read more

Crescent Medical Center Lancaster you are quite possibility the worst facility I have ever been in my entire life. I took my fiance into this facility at 11 today, because of a pain in her abdomen.. She has had a Gastric Sleeve Surgery so everyone who knows about the surgery knows Gallbladder issues stem from having it. She was in such dire health that she needed to be admitted into the Hospital, they needed to do a Cat Scan on her to see whats causing the pancreatitis that was ORDERED at 2 PM 8 HOURS AGO.. She was ORDERED to be ADMITTED at 3 PM.. AT 7 PM they finally got her upstairs and into a room..at 830 / 9 they finally did the CAT SCAN the medicine they have given her was some pain killers at 1 NOTHING ELSE AT ALL..She is supposed to be on fluids to flush out the dye they put in for the cat scan, and when I left there was still NO IV in her pushing fluids to flush her system it took them till TEN to get her some F####### FOOD even though we were there at F####### 11 to get her seen for the issue that popped up OH AND NO F####### DOCTOR WILL BE ABLE TO SEE HER AND GO OVER THE CAT SCAN UNTIL THE MORNING read more

My daughter was admitted in Crescent Medical Center after a surgery and we spent 3 days in the hospital. Everything was going good until he got sent to the med-surge unit on the third floor. The total unit was complete chaos where the nurses openly talked about patients in front of our room so we could hear everything. I work in healthcare also; so I know about patient privacy, hygiene and safety. Seems like the hospital cuts corner in supplies. I asked for regular band-aid to cover my daughter's IV, the nurse said they don't have traditional band aid. What kind of hospital does not have band aid?? The whole unit staff were disorganized trying to waste time chit-chatting in the nurses station rather than doing their job. Had to ask multiple times for different things and got delayed responses. We will not be back and will not recommend anyone to come here. There are better hospitals in the area with quality care and safety standards. read more

I went to Crescent for my first colonoscopy. What a great facility! Everyone there was wonderful. The outpatient section was spotlessly clean. They made a procedure I was dreading into a very pleasant experience. I live in North Dallas, and the trip there going on the Tollway to I35 only took 25 minutes. I've been an RN for almost 37 years and associated with hospitals for 42. I say that because I know what health care should be, what it used to be. My son was sent to a surgeon by the VA, so not knowing the surgeon and then seeing that we were going to drive over 300 miles to a small unknown hospital for his surgery, I was concerned. Folks, Crescent Medical Center is doing a great job and the large medical centers need to pay attention and take lessons! They start by rocking customer service in the outpatient surgery area. They communicate often and even escort the family for breakfast or lunch while the patient is in surgery. Once upstairs, they continue that service by offering the family a meal when they bring patient trays and the food is good, yes, the food is really good. My son's room on the third floor was very small so it is difficult to stay out of the staff's way even with the small chair. The nursing and support staff provided good care, met his needs in a timely manner, and everyone was kind. The last day was bumpy but the staff was overwhelmed with patients. It was the only day the care was a bit lacking or delayed. The day shift was still there at 9 pm so I know the issues that day weren't because they were lazy. They were doing the best they could. Bottom line, this hospital is doing a wonderful job and that reflects great leadership from the top down. Thank you to all!!! read more

Medically, their equipment was outdated, and their service only marginal at best. But my biggest issues started when we checked out. We owed a $100 co-pay, and no one could figure out how to take our payment. Way too much time, and total lack of confidence that they got it right. Months later I received a bill for the balance of $266, but with errors on the statement, and "nothing but a balance due." I requested an itemized statement that I have never received. After a 2nd bill I stopped by the hospital to pay, and again they acted like that never happened and they did not know what to do with me. There was no such thing as a business office evidently. I was made to sit and wait in a closed-down area (very unprofessional) while they took my credit card to who knows where, finally returning with a receipt. And then today, three weeks later, another bill (and threat of collection procedures), with no clue that I had paid. Everything about this experience has been sloppy. Buyer beware! read more
