It has been the saddest time in our lives. Marcus, and the rest of the staff, made us feel like honoring my father was the most important thing going on in their lives. Furthermore, they were priced better than any other funeral homes we checked with (which was a lot). The facility is gorgeous. I just can not say enough about how much they went out of their way to meet all our last minute changes. They did all of this while other businesses were shutting down for bad weather. If you are looking for the best place to honor a loved one, you really need to meet with them.

I had to have it soldered by a jeweler to repair it. I think the mortuary should have told me about the gold chain. I don't think I should have had to bring it up and ask for it. If jewelry is removed by a mortuary when they receive a body, it should be saved for the deceased's loved ones and they should inform them. Also, there was a lot of pressure to hurry up and approve the death certificate. Does that mean they have limited refrigerated? Maybe. The sheriffs who discovered my brother's body at home during a wellness check did not have an autopsy nor any medical exam because "there appeared to be no sign of foul play." My brother hadn't seen the doctor who signed the death certificate in three years.

A lovely young lady came out to pick up my wife's body and take her back for cremation. This young lady was exceptionally professional and compassionate the entire time. I questioned how she was going to move my wife by herself ( my wife weighed around 240 lbs and this young lady was not much over 100 pounds) she noted that they were short staffed and yes she was it. I asked her to call and have someone come and assist her. Then there was the fact. that our home was built in the late 1930's and they could not get the cot down the hall to get to my wife. The backup person showed up and appeared angry that she was there. She then decided they would wrap my wife in a sheet, put her on a board and carry her down the hall to the cot. Firdt the second person that came said my wife was "too fat" to wrap her in a sheet. luckily the hospice nurse stepped in and beautifully wrapped my wife in the sheet. When it came time to move her halfway across the room my wife literally rolled off of the board onto the floor. Thank goodness for the hospice nurse. The older woman from your location simply went outside without saying a word. The hospice nurse suggested a kinder way to move the body and they got her off the floor and into the cot. The young girl was in tears and couldn't stop apologizing. The other woman never mentioned what happened nor apologized. I found out later that she was one of the funeral home directors. and I discovered today that I was overcharged as your website clearly states that the "fees" are included in the base price. When speaking to this funeral director on the phone later she would not even address the situation. I asked twice for an apology and she told me "I did the best I could with what you gave me". Very rude, very disrespectful and I would not recommend their services especially during such a tragic time. You simply don't drop a body when you are transporting it. there is protocol to keep this from happening I am still in shock and very angry about how this was handled and then simply ignored as if it never happened. I paid for a basic cremation and feel like I got the back room clearance at full price and then some.
