You can tell that for Mr. Monroe and his team it is more than job and most of them have been doing it for many, many years because they love it. Students learn discipline and respect and the important lesson that we are all capable of more than we may think. Students and instructors are of all ages, which honestly makes it even more special because you get the whole range of experience on the team.

They both started as white belts and are now black belts. Our oldest is now a 2nd Degree Black Belt and serves as a Junior Instructor. Through her journey at UFT, we've watched her confidence, discipline, and character grow tremendously. Master Kim, Master Daniel, and Grand Master Lee have all been such positive influences in her life. It makes us so proud to see her continue pushing forward while also giving back by helping younger students learn and grow. Beyond self-defense, United Family Taekwondo has helped her develop self-esteem, confidence, endurance, perseverance, and a strong sense of self-worth. These are invaluable life skills that will continue to benefit her for years to come. Our youngest daughter is now a black belt as well. She started when she was only 5 years old and has come such a long way. In the beginning, she struggled with paying attention in group settings and required one-on-one instruction. Master Kim worked patiently with her individually to help her catch up and build confidence. Today, she is sharp, confident, funny, and absolutely loves going to TKD. She also loved being part of the after-school care program with Ms. Jen, during the time when we needed after-school care. As parents with a very busy schedule, we truly feel the time and money invested in training at UFT has been more than worth it. Our children have gained so much more than martial arts skills -- they've learned respect, discipline, confidence, and strong core values. Above all else, the Masters and Grand Master Lee consistently teach students to love, respect, and honor their parents, each other, and others. Teachings like these are rare nowadays. We recently extended both of our daughters' contracts for another two years because they genuinely love being there, and that alone speaks volumes about the environment UFT has created. Anyone remember that game?…read more Well United Family Taekwondo appears to be as popular as Capcom's Street Fighter 2 and is a great place for fun and learning taekwondo in a safe, well managed, friendly environment. My son really enjoys coming to UFT and his discipline and respect have grown tremendously since starting classes here. The enthusiasm and exuberance my son displays when we tell him it's time to go to Taekwondo class speaks for itself. The Masters here really know how to keep the kids engaged and focused while teaching them respect, focus, discipline, and self defense. The taekwondo facility is clean and well kept. The prices are reasonable and I have heard they have an after school program which seems very popular as well. Overall, I give United Family Taekwondo 4.4 stars, rounded up, that's a 5. One thing about Kickboxing you have to be consistent in everything you do...You definitely have to go at least 3 to 4 times a week. I always have a great workout, I know I'm burning calories and also you have to have a good diet to keep the weight consistent and off of you. The staff and instructors make you feel welcomed. I really like their attitude and great energy.. if I need any help they will take the time out to show me what my position is in Kickboxing... STAY AWAY. MY BIGGEST MISTAKE YET. Easy to sign up but IMPOSSIBLE TO QUIT. Think Planet Fitness but…read moreon steroids and you might have to sacrifice your first born to get them to stop charging you. Oh and change your bank account and cancel your credit card too. They scarred my 3 year old by chasing him while slapping the ground to make loud claps to try and get him to go faster. He was the slowest in the class because he was the YOUNGEST AND SMALLEST. He literally immediately stopped in his tracks and from that moment on hated every second and cried anytime "karate" was mentioned. Every time I would bring him it felt like I was torturing him because he had legit fear and I could see it in his eyes. When I said I was canceling his they said they understood and it was fine but then continued to charge me. Master Miron said he would reimburse and make sure it was canceled but never did. Then my oldest wanted to stop because his brother wasn't doing it with him and I wasn't about to force a 4 year old to do something he truly didn't want to do. When I told them I wanted to cancel both o was suddenly told "oh, you actually signed the 12 month agreement and are obligated to pay for the whole year." EXCUSE ME?! they have my signature on a piece of paper that I was falsely informed of while they took advantage of me having an 18 month old with me as well, always busy and never able to sit and talk about any contract. Never in a million years would I sign a 3 and 4 year old up for a 12 month contracted class. THEY ARE THE WORST. ONLY SEND YOUR ENEMIES HERE.
