The Creepy Cardiff Ghost Tour takes place around the leafy area of Cathays Park and the gleaming Civic Centre, starting at the National Museum of Wales, and lasting for about an hour.
This area doesn't immediately strike one as particularly creepy at all, with grand white buildings, wide open boulevards and manicured parkland. But once you're on the ghost tour, you hear lots of spooky stories that cover both fact and fiction, and it's left up to you to decide which is which. Some is obvious to distinguish, but at other times it's a bit frustrating not to be sure which snippets are true and which are made up. That said, the obvious facts are very informative, and it's interesting even as a Cardiff resident to find out more about the area - plus the actor and tour guide David Thompson who runs it is very entertaining.
The walk is offered throughout the year for group bookings only (10 or more people) costing £5 per adult (£4 for others), or if less there's a minimum charge of £40. read more
