At times,…read morethe environment has felt disorganized, unsafe, it has felt difficult to receive timely responses and consistent guidance when addressing student-related issues. We have had concerns regarding the level of communication and support provided by school administration. In particular, interactions with the assistant principal have felt unhelpful and dismissive at times when students and parents were seeking guidance. We hope the school takes steps to improve communication, accountability, and overall student support.

Miss Reyes often came across as rude and unsupportive instead of encouraging, and it made dance stop feeling enjoyable for many students. A teacher should inspire confidence, not make students feel discouraged or embarrassed and not only that she has also stole over 20 thousand dollars in fund raisers which is absolutely crazy knowing the lionettes worked hard for that just for it to randomly go missing yea okay. The administration also seemed inconsistent with discipline. Mr ivan cedillio treated many color groups blacks and whites differently than others, and punishments did not always feel fair. Instead of listening to student concerns, it often felt like issues were ignored. Academically, some teachers did not seem to care whether students succeeded. Assignments that were turned in would sometimes not get graded properly or they were to lazy to even grade it and just give you a big fat 0, and communication with students could be frustrating. The school food was also bad most of the time -- freezer burned, low quality, and not enjoyable at all. On top of that, the student environment could be very disrespectful and draining. Not every teacher was bad. The dance company teacher was actually supportive and passionate about students succeeding, which made a huge difference. But overall, my experience at this school was negative, stressful, and disappointing. I would seriously think twice before joining programs like Lionettes, cheer, softball, or other activities here.
