Dr. Etemadi took the time during my consultation to go over my history and X-ray my neck and back for causes to my pain. He discovered an old injury in my neck and explained how the rest of my body was compensating for it, causing issues in other areas. His adjustments focused on those areas. I've now been seeing Dr. Etemadi for over a month and am feeling SO MUCH BETTER! My range of motion has increased - that's something I hadn't even realized had been effected. Yes it is somewhat expensive out of pocket to go here not covered by insurance, but it's all 1000% worth it. Without your health you have nothing. I love to invest in my health in any way that I can. All of the staff members are so incredibly helpful and kind. They are always so warm and welcoming. They always check to see if your insurance will cover anything even if there's a low likelihood they will still do the work and check. And they always tell you how much stuff costs ahead of time if you ask. And I love the waiting room with the cheerful chalkboard art and wellness literature. I woke up this morning and decided to look at reviews and compare this Chiropractor with others. While I was there I felt like I was at a huge dealership trying to buy a car and had no idea what I was doing. I was pressured to sign the contract and begin my treatment that night. I was made to feel like I didn't care about my health if I didn't do it right then. I like to pray about my decisions because I believe the Lord instructs us to take even as much as 3 days. He was kinda nice about that but I still picked up on his disappointment that his pressuring technique had not worked on me. His answer to Me was.... if I cared about my health enough I would sign. Further more .....if I waited even as much as a week my condition would get worse and he would have to redo the x-rays. This may be true but probably not. I explained to him that I was already going to a chiropractor and doing a lot of at home therapy along with eating clean. Here is where I began to believe that the treatment is very generic to everyone and not personalized. I have a pretty dramatic reverse curve in my neck. I feel this place uses fear tactics to get you to come up with a bunch of money and they want you to pay up front. Or sign a contract that you will agree to pay monthly at 0% interest. I do believe interest is calculated in even though they say it isn't because they have a CASH PRICE that is $891.00 in savings. I Go to a chiropractor now and he is $45 per visit and that includes the adjustment and the therapy. The reason I started checking around is because I wanted the nutrition program also. I believe that this D.C. is probably a very good life coach and may do good adjustments. I think he probably has some quality nutritional ideas. The sad part is I believe he is taking advantage of people financially and unless you have an unlimited money source this place is feeding off your misfortune. If he really cared about everyone's health I think he would be more affordable. And He would personalize your treatment. He charges$70 for adjustments $33 for rehab. That adds up to 103.00 per visit! $274 to rent take homehome therapy equipment and 1500.00 for a metabolic nutritional program. I wasn't able to see what the nutritional program was and what the products are. I don't want to sign away $1,500 and I don't even know what I'm getting!? The nutritional part is what separates this C.D. from everyone else and I'd be what I was interested in. I will be calling them today to discuss with them everything that I have written above. Dr. Zaino used what appeared to be improperly aligned x-rays to coerce her into an incredibly expensive, long-term treatment plan that she did not need. He went so far as to tell her that her neck looked "just like Christopher Reeve's" and claimed she was subject to future paralysis if she didn't agree to the plan. As a medical professional myself, I was absolutely appalled. I immediately had her get independent, anatomically positioned x-rays, which proved her neck was completely fine and that his claims were entirely fabricated to push a costly contract. On top of these sales tactics, a bit of research reveals an old article called "Zaino's Corner" where he explicitly detailed how to "correctly" cycle anabolic steroids--likely how he achieved his prior bodybuilding titles. If you look into his official public record with the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners (TBCE), you will find a documented pattern of unethical behavior. He has faced multiple board actions and fines, including a 2010 disciplinary order and a $500 penalty for gross unprofessional conduct, failing to properly identify himself as a chiropractor on his website, and withholding a patient refund of $3,200. He was penalized again by the board in 2014 following an enforcement investigation into his failure to maintain accurate and timely patient records. Prospective patients are encouraged to request a second opinion and independently verify any clinic's disciplinary history on the official Texas state board website to make an informed decision.
