Great people great campground!!!! We slept in the tipi two nights while on a road trip! We did Devils Tower, Deadwood, Mt Rushmore, Crazy horse, Wind Caves, Custer State Park and Jewel Caves!!! I could spend a week or two here!! Prices are great!!! Private restrooms with hot showers!! I will be back. There is no doubt about that!

    Amazing!!

This place was absolutely incredible!!! Im from colorado and this is my absolute favorite camp ground. We stayed in a cabin that was perfect and had a little creek and tee pee Behind it which was so nice and had a sweet bar bellow. But what I liked most about this place was the owner. This man was one of the nicest guys. He made us feel so welcome called us when we left a sweater behind and when we left and stayed in a hotel for family reunion and locked keys in our car he came and got the doors unlocked for free and took 40 minutes of his time to do a kind deed and wouldn't let us pay him. This place was one of the best and the owner made it even Better. I definitely recommend visiting this place it was the best experience I've had yet. :)

Ample room in the spots, a great pool and laundry room, nestled in between two peaks so the stars shine bright and they can accommodate everything from super long to popping a dang tent! Everyone in the office is soooo nice, I'm talkin to you Robin, Tammy and Linda! There's a really friendly man who rolls around in the golf cart too but I don't know his name. Communicative, helpful and making sure everyone is enjoying themselves is what this place is all about.... Also, this location is perfect to enjoy the rally (or whatever event is happening) in either Deadwood or Sturgis but not you're be stuck in the chaos. It's nice and quiet. We've met some great friends camping here though. People walking their dogs or just taking a stroll will stop by if you give them a smile, and I really like that. This is one of those reviews I hope works out well for the establishment but doesn't make it harder for me to get in...... that has happened lol Totally worth the risk though..... it's a great place to vacation so I had to share!

Reason being staff was out cleaning the sites. We unhooked our tow vehicle and drove around to see how many staff were working. Absolutely zero. (In the 20+ years of rving we have never been told we had to pay for checking in less than 1/2 hr early) I then went into the office sat waiting for 1:00 to arrive. While the lady was on the phone talking to someone asking if I received the email with the rules saying chec-pk-in was 1:00 , her small daughter that walking around took the brochure out of my hand and walked away. At 1:00 I walked up to the counter and the lady proceeded to tell me I was rude and there was no need to yell. I told her if she thought I was yelling she'd never heard yelling. She then told me if I left a negative review she guaranteed me she would be replying. I'm not sure if she was saying that so I wouldn't leave a review but after her being one of rudest if not the rudest office manager we've met I definitely was leaving one.

Unfortunately, the day we arrived the water main broke Anna had no water for a day and a half. However, the office refunded one night stay without us even asking. I will say the RV's were only feet apart from each other so was a little noisy in the morning. The office store was nice. It had a coffee machine and many souvenirs. The people running the faculty were amazing. My husband needed emergency dental work and they gave us a few hours extra to check out.

The good: The two showers that one half of the entire park shares are pretty nice and big with a toilet and sink in it. A private area to shower. The bad: The water pressure. The good: The one-room cabin is nice. The bad: No refrigerator in the cabin. The very worst thing is that the night we got there, the front desk did not know that the trolley was regularly running, with several people on it. Instead, they said we would have to text or call the driver. (He is busy driving.........!) So needless to say, we drove and as we were driving down the KOA driveway, leaving to go to Deadwood, we had to move out of the way for the &;&;)@$ trolley that was driving up. Would have been nice if the front desk would have made it their business to find out trolley info. One more thing: The two donkeys running loose made all the dogs go nuts.
