I went through a scare with my seven year old Corgi the past year where we almost lost him. The vet and staff at the Creekside Vet Clinic were very well informed, supportive and technically skilled. The vet was always available in person and on the phone to answer questions and they were very flexible on appointments. My Corgi is doing much better now and I would recommend Creekside Vet Clinic for a personal touch. read more

We brought our dog in to have a cracked nail looked at. We initially came in for a simple nail trim and were told the vet had to do an exam, which was quoted at $60. Shortly after, we were told our dog would need to be sedated and have the nail fully removed, with a quoted cost of $680. The nail may have been cracked for a few days already and was not bleeding, not infected, and not bothering him at all. Because of this, the recommendation felt extremely excessive. Given that it was New Year's Day and one of the only clinics open, it honestly felt like we were being taken advantage of. Dr. Navdeep Singh was very cold and not personable. The interaction felt rushed and uncomfortable, and it seemed like scare tactics were being used to push us into an unnecessary procedure. We trusted our gut and declined, asking instead for the broken part of the nail to simply be clipped so we could follow up with our regular vet when they reopened. After seeing our regular vet, we were advised that they would not have removed the nail after examining it and that the proper course was simply to keep it clean and dry. This further confirmed that the initial recommendation was unnecessary. We were also told it would be $40 just to bandage the nail, which felt unreasonable for something so basic. At that point, it really seemed like every small step came with an added charge, and it gave the impression that the focus was more on making money than providing appropriate care. After leaving, we reviewed the bill and saw we were charged $110 total -- $80 for the visit and $25 for a nail trim -- which did not align with what we were initially told. At that point we just wanted to leave, but we will be calling to speak with management. Overall, the experience felt cold, overpriced, and pressured, and we left feeling uneasy rather than reassured about our dog's care. I would not recommend this clinic. read more

Grrrr - pretty mad right now! We are just home from this vet clinic just now with our 2 indoor cats RE vaccinations and yearly check ups. On the phone a couple of weeks ago, my husband was quoted $85 per cat for check up and shots. That is what I was used to paying in another province, so we were good to go. Close to our new home, this clinic was our choice and it was our first time there today. The paperwork to be filled out was normal, took a bit but afterwards, the vet was prompt, courteous and kind to our fur babies. No complaints about his care and his availability to answer questions and talk to us. He even detected that one of our cats had a heart murmur which he was born with, without us even having told him. (OR he simply looked at our cat's history chart obtained from our previous vet in ON, hard to say for sure) What pisses me off is that the bill came to $315, almost double what we were quoted on the phone. They knew going in we just wanted the basic shots but they added another $50 for rabies (needed yes, but we figured that was in the basic cost, was just surprised) and another $80 (deworming pills - not needed). What we budgeted for is not what we paid and although they went over the bill with us at the end, they had to know we were ticked. I know that vets shaft often and that pet owners are at their mercy. BUT I encourage anyone going to this clinic to go over the costs IN PERSON prior to your pet being seen. The clinic loses 2 stars for its billing procedures. We want to keep a good relationship with them but there needs to be some accountability and professional etiquette. DO NOT allow yourself to be nagged into de-worming pills as they ask over and over again saying it is for the good of your pet unless you wish to get them. Money grab. read more

I can't even give this Vet a single star! Do NOT take your animal here! There is a reason he is no longer at VCA North! I brought my dog in with sores on his front lip and itching on his face. My dog was immediately taken to the back for blood work. Dr. Singh then came back minutes later and told me with a grim face that my dog of 6 years old either had Lupus or a thyroid disease! I started to cry uncontrollably, and he just walked out of the room and went on to treat another pet. After a $1,398 vet bill (Thank goodness my dog's regular vet ((VCA North Animal Vet and Hospital) recommended getting Trupanion)) it turned out my dog's blood work was perfectly normal and he was having an allergic reaction to the food he was on! Then to top it off, they did not have the allergy medication that my dog needed and ordered it. I was supposed to pick it up the next day. When I went, they had SOLD my dog's specific medication to someone else! It took 4 weeks for his medication to come in and it not be sold to someone else due to complete inability to keep track of prescription! I changed my dog's food to Limited Ingredient, with the help of Ken at Creekside's Pet Planet (He is amazing!) My dog is healthy and happy and has to take an allergy pill once daily and loves his food he is on! TruPanion knows about this so called vet and so does my normal vet clinic VCA Animal North. Oh, one more thing, Dr. Singh showed up 30 minutes late for the emergency appointment I had booked with my dog - which was the very first appointment in the morning! Dr. Singh came in with a coffee or tea in his hand talking on his cell phone - and from what I overheard, it was not related to animals. Please take your animal anywhere else but here! Yelp is forcing me to give a single star to post this. read more

I've taken my dog here since she was a puppy - the draw was their hours (weekdays till 8 and opened both Saturday and Sunday) and the convenience of the location. My dog has gotten spayed here, a tooth extraction, had her yearly shots and I've never had any issues. The examination rooms are clean and the staff are super friendly with people and animals. Dr. Mangat is knowledgeable however doesn't come off as personable with animals (I think that's important being that he's a vet!). He can be a little difficult to understand so that's a little frustrating when you're discussing the health of your pet. Since we just have annual visits, I don't mind bringing my dog here. read more

I brought my kitten for spaying at this clinic. The receptionist I talked on the phone was professional and efficient, but the one I met inside the clinic was ALSO super-friendly and kind. She chatted with my kids and made the whole experience extra nice. I really liked her service, she went far and beyond. (didn't catch her name) The spaying procedure went quick and the cat was back to normal the next day. After two days they called me back to check how the kitten was doing. That was a special touch, I really appreciated that because they are not our usual clinic, we brought the cat just for spaying. read more

I m so happy I found this vet, it was my first time here. The girls in the reception room are very nice. Dr. Jagsir Singh Gill was really nice, he was very attentive with my senior dog. He is very knowledgeable and answer all the questions and has the answers. I wish I would of came here earlier. I would recommend people to come here. read more

I do not tend to leave reviews but had to leave one regarding Creekside vet. Not a pleasant experience with putting our dog down at this vet with Dr. Navdeep Masoun Singh. Tried to start procedure after telling us to pay first and I was NOT in the room. Argument when we went back to pick up paw print saying it's procedure and does not know if everyone was in room but does not confirm first before starting and refuse to apologize. Says we are not doctor and that's how he does it. We are not doctors (as he keeps saying) so from the first needle, to us the procedure starts there and I would assume that being the cause to most other dog owners as well. We have made many paw prints with our dog prior to our decision of putting him down but wanted a professional one. The paw print we got from them does not seem to match the one he gave us but we have no way of confirming this with proof as he says. Another note was our paw print took 3 months after we call and ask if its ready, when they said 4-6weeks max. The front desk girl told us that we should research first about different vet to make sure you pick the right one, so I would like to leave my experience so you could make your own decision. His attitude towards the situation was not very empathetic. read more

I'm going to make this review short and sweet. The place is very close to my home so it made sense to try them out. I generally find they know what they are doing, but I have two issues: 1) I had to put a cat down there a few years ago and I felt they were not particularily compassionate about it. There was no room to spend time with him before putting him down that I experienced elsewhere. The front desk girls also seem pretty business-like much of the time. I had to put down another cat elsewhere and I appreciated the compassion I got there. 2) This place is noticably more expensive than any other vet I've been to. They seem to know their stuff for the most part, but I prefer to bring my animals elsewhere. read more

Was there last week as my cat had what appeared to be a skin infection. Vet didn't want to do anything unless we agreed to the whole blood work at $350. We asked for a cream or some antibiotic to try first and he systematically refused. We were about to walk the door when he proposed a cheaper blood test!!! We left. Five minutes and it cost us $73.00. Avoid this place. read more

Our cat was not feeling very well on Sunday and of course we were quite worried. According to the website this facility opened at 9:00 am. I promptly called and left a message to see if we could get our cat in for an appointment. As of now, which is Tuesday morning 8:30 am. I have yet to receive a call back! Fortunately, our cat is feeling better however, I would like to thank Creek Side Vet for caring so much for our family member! I will not recommend anyone for your services! read more

I am not impressed at all. My regular vet raised their prices so I switched to Creekside Vet Clinic, we were seeing the vet annually so I thought why not, boy what a mistake. When my dog developed a rash around the time his rabies vaccine was due, I took him for a check up, he was given a cortisone shot. The only warning I was given was he would get more thirsty than usual and expect more urination than normal. Not being an expert, like a fool I followed the vets advice. A month later my dog was severely diabetic and I went back to my old vet with a deep apology. They did treat him however they advised the best thing we could do as his condition had gotten so bad was to put him down which we did. He was severely dehydrated and unable to move, eat, urinate. I wish that we had been given some sort of warning - it was just a rash that started this after all. read more

Thoroughly unimpressed. Got our new puppy a couple weeks ago as a rescue and she seemed great at first then had some symptoms that suggested she wasn't feeling well like runny nose and diarrhea so I decided to move up to appointment I had made for the following week just to be on the safe side. She had a full exam and I expressed my concerns which garnered no concern from the vet. He said she might have a virus but seems healthy so she's fine. One concern I expressed as well was about how itchy she seemed and her flaky skin so he suggested some topical oil. So I left feeling my pup was fine and spent the 100$ to get her looked at plus 25 for the skin stuff and away I went. Not even a week later she started vomiting long after having eaten ;8+ hours) so I took her back and again expressed my concerns which again were brushed off and he said maybe she needs some food that will help her digest better and that he didn't want to get too much into diagnostics yet and just to monitor her. I was again charged for the appointment and the suggested food to the tune of 120$. Low and behold the very same night my poor puppy had worm filled feces and is not doing well at all. I am disappointed at not only being charged 300$ and given specialty products to address the symptoms but more importantly the lack of regard shown for my pup's wellbeing. In hindsight it should have been a red flag that he was not concerned about any sort of diagnostics and instead suggested products they sell but regardless of the money spent, if she had something more serious like parvo or distemper that kind of apathy could have cost my pup her life. read more

Worst veterinarian ever, do not euthanize your dog here. It may be a bit cheaper than other clinics but its worth it to pay the extra couple bucks just to avoid the heartless doc from this clinic. I'm aware that there are 2 doc's in this clinic so I cant say for certain that the other doc was just as heartless as the one we had. I am not sure the name of the doc that we had a bad experience with but it was unforgivable. We booked an in house euthanization for our dog because she was always scared of going into clinics so we wanted her to leave us happily. We gave her the sedatives 30 mins prior to the vet arriving as instructed, as the time came our dog was still active and we asked if we could give her some more time so that she was laying down and relaxed. The doc firmly and rudely denied us of our simple request with no negotiations. He then continued to start an IV on our dog and was just about to push the drug in our dog as i was constantly asking about the procedure and the drug effect. He did not answer the question except saying "ok, the dog is bleeding though" in a disrespecting manner. That is completely BS, little did he know that I am an EMT who works on an ambulance. He could have stopped the bleeding easily and have answered my questions respectfully. The impression he gave off to our family was that he did not care for the grieving owners and the pet itself. He just wanted to get in and out, and to have little to no contact with the customer/owner who paid lots of money for their service. He did not communicate to the family whatsoever unless being constantly pestered with questions, even then he still ignores us and continues to talk to his partner at that time. That is no way to treat the customer or patient, it really is unforgivable in my mind. The last memory of our beloved dog will be this horrible experience as she was forced into submission, as she was trembling and scared out of her mind. Please, if you love your pets take them somewhere else. I don't want any of you to have to suffer what we had already. read more

Dispicable experience. No thought about what was actually going on with my cats, just straight to the last measure procedure, prices, then up selling before even getting a word in. I agreed to have blood taken from one of my cats and they ended up shaving part of his skin, which I didn't realize until I got home and looked at it. This place should not be in business period read more

Not a fan of this vet clinic. The receptionists are helpful and great with my pets, but the vet did a very limited exam on my cats. The cost of the appointment fee plus vaccinations was higher than expected, especially for "ok" service, and their prescription cat food is more expensive than other locations. The lack of vet tech's and the receptionists doing animal care doesn't seem right. I have 5 pets and spend a lot of money on vet bills, so I expect great service and excellent care, and I didn't find that at Creekside Vet :( read more

Great staff! I've taken my rescue dog here since we've had her, and always have been well taken care of.

I took my dog here for annual vaccinations and was very disappointed. They overcharged me and up sold me on deworming meds that I didn't need. The vet also told me that my dog could possibly have a heart murmur and that he needed a $300 echocardiogram. No other vet before or after has ever heard a heart murmur. This office scams customers and gives very poor patient care to your pets. Go elsewhere if you want good care. read more

Dr. Mangat has been our Vet since our two mini schnauzers were just pups (almost 5 years now) and with multiple problems and concerns ranging from a heart murmur, liver issues, gastroenteritis causing me to almost lose both my pups he was always supportive, concerned and available to respond to our needs. He hires amazing staff who, like him, treats our two pups as independent clients by talking to them, sympathizing with them and ensuring that their needs are met with the utmost professionalism. I am baffled by the people who complain about the price they need to pay to have their pooches treated. In my opinion, I would pay any cost to see them happy and healthy and cost doesn't at all factor into choosing a vet. What I look for is professionalism, kindness, consideration, compassion for their clients and knowledgable staff. Dr. Mangat and his staff have this and so much more so although I have never really compared pricing between his clinic and other clinics I am very happy paying whatever his fees are. In short, I am very happy and will continue with Creekside as my clinic read more
