Wow! Just wow!!! This place was ANAZING!!! We stayed in a little cabin and it was so cute!!! The inside of the cabin was clean and nicely decorated! There were some friendly bugs inside but that's to be expected! I absolutely adored the place we stayed in along with how they offered so many other things! Beautiful location. We camped on an island in the middle of the Guadalupe river. Lots of wildlife. I wish we could've stayed longer. Also there's a neat little restaurant right outside the gate that had great food and entertainment. read more

Stopped here for a quick one-night on our way through. The campground is well maintained, nice grass next to level, large gravel pull-through spots. The playground is nice for the kids, but right next to the main road in the park. There was a fenced dog area next to the playground. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there is really no shade. Small saplings that will grow one day but currently don't offer any shade. Otherwise it's a very nice place that we'd stay again. We went into town and tried Gella's Diner and Lb. Brewery. That was very good! Everyone in town was so friendly and helpful. Nice little place to stop. read more

My rating for Creek Side RV Resort is actually 3.5. It was fairly easy to book online; plenty of space available. The only online issue I had was changing from one to two nights. The system wouldn't allow me to adjust before I paid, so I had to make two reservations; one for each night. I chose the site I did because it was advertised as having shade from trees. When I arrived I found two saplings, not two shade trees (one day....). I did end up near the dog park, which was great as I'd brought my SD-in-training. The park rules document dogs must be leashed and under their handler's control at all times; however while walking my leashed Labbie to the public restroom, the Camp hosts' dog, unleashed, came charging up on my dog. Nothing happened but butt sniffing (both being Labs) yet I found the contradiction in rules annoying. On the topic of the public restroom; it was locked at night, which I found disappointing. I was in a pop-up camper without plumbing. I wanted to brush my teeth and pee.... The grounds seemed generally well kept; the Resort is fairly new, so it lacked mature landscaping. I also was frustrated that there were only fire rings in the few high end sites. Considering the price per night, about $40, I did not find it very resort-like. I did have electric & water hookups, which were great, save for the water that came out looking nasty and not consumable. What little interaction I had with staff was pleasant. I think if someone is passing through Hays and needs a spot overnight, it's probably fine, especially in a self-contained rig. A fire ring and clean water would have made a significant difference to me. read more

Stayed here for 3 months while in town for work. CSR is great! The sites are a good size, the area is quiet, staff is friendly and helpful, and the resort is clean and always well maintained. I would definitely stay here long term again and can recommend it to others. read more

This place was great. Being able to book online was fantastic- got a confirmation email immediately. When we arrived around 7pm I was surprised to find the office still open for check in. There were two super lovely ladies who made the check in process very quick and easy. We only stayed one night and did not use any of their facilities, but the park was beautiful, clean and very spacious. Highly recommend! read more

Creek Side RESORT???? It's more like Creek Side LAST RESORT!!! Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website! This is a gravel and dirt lot, with minimal grass, and no trees! There are NO amenities, not even a store! There is a back room with a few things, like oil, filters, etc. We stayed there on our way east, and had reservations to stay there on our way back home, but opted to go to WaKenney to the KOA, which was delightful! I would avoid this dump at all costs! read more

Can't recommend this place enough. Super friendly staff, clean restrooms and showers so you don't fuss with filling your grey and black tanks. We stayed here for a week as I had in-person classes at Fort Hays State for my online program. The restroom doors kept getting locked because other patrons didn't pay attention to the signs which stated to make sure to unlock doors before leaving! Not the park's fault. However during our stay, the maintenance staff changed out the locks to push-buttons solving the illiteracy problem. I will definitely stay here again. So much better than a hotel. read more

A new RV park that's well-thought out and has big plans! Booked online easily and check-in was simple. We opted for a back-in spot which afforded some shade in the late afternoon in June. Level spots and roomy in length. Easy access from the interstate. We would stay here again and look forward to seeing what gets added over time. read more
