The boarding conditions seemed okay. There's a large shed for the dogs and a lot of barking. The owner didn't offer to let me see the conditions so that was my first warning sign. I didn't say anything but I'll take the blame for that, although I wish she would have showed me where my dogs were staying. Anyway, I left my dogs there with doubt but I was hoping for the best when I came back. Four days and three nights later I was horrified when I picked up my dogs. Both dogs smelled awful and one of the dogs seemed to have lost weight. They both showed signs of crying and they were not their usual self. I immediately took my dog out to poop and rather all that came out was blood. The dogs were both very desperate for water. Nothing about the conditions of my dogs suggests to me that I should board there again and I don't recommend them for anyone else. read more

I definitely have to say this place is everything I expected it to be. The gentleman that checked us in that morning was very friendly, and very helpful with are questions. In addition we are able to see the kennel that our dog was going into. The whole place was very clean and kept up for a kennel. very friendly staff, and when we picked up our dog of course our dog was happy to see s but the check-in and check-out was very smooth, everything that they advertised we got. I like the fact that they give you the opportunity to give your dog a bath. We opted out of this, but it was nice that it was offered to us. My sister-in-law owns a kennel and I have to say that I am very impressed with this place, and their customer service. I definitely would recommend this place for anybody because these people actually care about animals, and their business. read more

Okay, so first of all let me start off by saying I have a dog that is an attention whore. He's an 80 pound doberman that think he's a 20 pound lapdog. He's terrible on a leash and listens to nobody but me. But hey he's my dog. We went on a trip for 10 days I found this place because they were very reasonably priced. They had requested numbers for emergency purposes as well as the veterinarian if something were to go wrong with the dog. I called after a few days and asked how my dog was. I was told that he was a handful but overall he was fine. When I picked my dog up after the 10 day. I found that he was emaciated. He had lost upwards of 10 pounds. He was also losing hair as evidenced by the handfuls that I found in the seat after I got home. If I had known that my dog was not eating and his health was suffering then I would've had someone pick him up. So if you have a dog that's well-adjusted and perfect then this place is great and could be a bargain for you. But beware when you call and ask how your animal is their definition of fine is an emaciated dog losing hair. read more

They took great care of our cat while we were moving and in between homes. While we thought our cat would be low maintenance and keep to herself she was apparently pretty angry to be in a new environment. While they updated us on how she was doing they didn't make us feel guilty for not having a perfectly behaved guest and we must have gotten some discount for a longer stay because when we went to pay it was $50 less than we expected which was a nice surprise! Especially considering they are half the price of places in Seattle. Also looks like a great place for dogs and while we were picking up and dropping off I saw many happy dogs running in a big field. read more

We had a great experience leaving our two dogs (Pitbull and Pug) with Creature Comforts for a week. They came home very well fed and with little to no signs of stress. We are very pleased with the service and treatment of our two dogs. We left our two dogs here for a week. Let me tell you I don't know where the other 5 stars come from. I certainly didn't see it. When my dogs came out of the kennels they looked at me like they didn't know me or my husband. When their bed was brought out it was soaked and I mean soooooaked and horribly smelling. It doesn't seem like they were let out often at all. One of my dogs has had bladder stone surgery and has to go out often. Obviously that didn't happen. How can they be comfortable with a soaking wet bed. Ugh read more

We have left our mini Aussie in the care of Denise of Creature Comforts many times and for long periods, usually 7-12 days at a stretch. In fact, Sofie began staying at the kennel when she was only 3 months old. As nervous as we were then, Denise was quietly confident and reassuring to us that "our baby" would be in good hands. Sofie is now 5-1/2 years old and actually looks forward to visiting Denise and being with her four-legged friends. It is a good sign when she bounds out of the car and heads for the barn without looking back at you. At the end of her stay, Sofie is always in good spirits, clean (we provide her own shampoo), and eager to see us again. If anything, she catches up on her sleep when finally home, an indication that she had a good time as well. Creature Comforts is a clean, safe, affordable, and well-managed kennel. Just be sure to reserve early. Sofie gets to run twice a day in the fenced-in grassy area, important for an active breed. Denise has always been accommodating, listens to your concerns, and addresses any questions you may have. She has recently installed a heater for the kennel area so we are now more comfortable leaving our dog when days are colder. We travel frequently and feel fortunate that we have found this kennel. It gives us peace of mind knowing that Sofie is in good hands and is happy. You can really see the smile on her face! We can't think of any other place to leave an important member of our family. This was the first time I used these kennels. I chose them because my dog would get his own private space and he would go out into a large yard without any other dogs. Unfortunately, he doesn't get along with other dogs so this place was perfect. I set up a meeting prior to ever booking so I could see what the facility was like. I wasn't in love with the barn that the kennels were kept in, but it was heated and I loved the outdoor space. I went out of town for 10 days and when I picked my dog up he was not his usual happy self. He wasn't happy to see me and he wasn't excited on the car ride home which he normally is. He was quiet and sad/scared. I also requested a bath before pick up, which he did receive as he was still a little damp. However, his butt was black with poop which didn't make sense since he had had a bath. When I got home I went through multiple baby wipes to get his butt clean. However, that was not the reason why I'm giving this a one star review. I didn't realize it at first because I was paying more attention to his mannerisms but when I got into the car and pet him down his back I could distinctly feel his spine. It wasn't until I got home that I could truly take a good look at him and I was horrified. I could see his spine and his ribs protruding. He did not look like that when I dropped him off. I don't know how long he had gone without eating, but missing a couple of meals does not make a dog look almost emaciated. I am incredibly disappointed and disgusted at Creature Comforts. I will not board my dog at this facility again. The price might be good but the quality is not. read more

I got called out town for the holidays suddenly and needed someone to watch my two 5 month old kittens. Denise was great. She was able to accommodate me at the last minute. She also only charged me for the use of one kennel space since the two kittens were going to be housed in the same condo. Other kennels did not give a multiple cat discount. Denise let the kittens out each day to run around inside an enclosed room so they were not cooped up 24 hours a day. I will definitely be using Creature Comforts again. read more

I've been bringing my dog here for many years - Friendly staff who love animals - Denise is very organized and helpful - and my dog loves going here & gets all excited when he sees me drive within a mile of this place! Creature Comforts is our favorite place to board, and it's great for our anxious dog, who is uncomfortable around other dogs but thrives with one-on-one attention--the dogs are housed individually and taken out to play individually. Creature Comforts is a home based business. This is a plus in animal care since the caretaker (Denise) is never far away. I checked my cats in for a few days, and even extended their stay while my girlfriend and I got into our apartment. I was pleased to see my guys well taken care of when I returned for them. I boarded my cat here for 2 weeks. When I came to pick her up some of the other kitties got up and peeked out to see if their person was there to pick them up. None of the cats seemed to be traumatized or anything. I could see that my cat's litter box was "maintained" and there was clean water in her water bowl attached to the door (good, it doesn't spill). I didn't notice her food dish because we were both so happy to see each other. Denise mentioned that I had a very friendly cat--which is so true, she loves people and petting. The cat condo is the standard size pre-built....kind of wish the condo was a little bigger but that would probably have to be a custom build. I would definately board my cat there again. We decided to use Creature Comforts to kennel our two medium-sized dogs for a week based on the positive reviews. Everything went extremely smoothly from making the initial reservation to the final payment (prices are very reasonable). Our dogs apparently had quite a bit of anxiety, but that is to be expected, especially since they usually stay with family when we're out of town. I would highly recommend Creature Comforts to anyone needing a reliable kennel for their dog or cat. It is very apparent that Denise and the others at Creature Comforts truly care for the animals and that's what is most important in this type of business. read more

I have boarded my dog here twice and it is pretty nice. They have a large yard for the dogs to run around in. They are kept in the kennel during the day, which is pretty noisy but my dog had no problem with it. He was actually excited when I dropped him off for the second time. I guess he had fun the first time haha. Prices are super reasonable. I paid $15 a day and $10 for a bath. It is a little tricky to find though, you have to turn down a dirt road and look carefully for the sign. I got pretty confused the first time. Overall a great place to leave your pup for a great price. I don't think I'd leave my cat here though. The cats are kept where people pay / there is a lot of people coming in and out and the area they are kept in looked small / cramped to me. read more

Would definitely recommend! This was my first time boarding my dog since we got him from the shelter last summer. He has separation anxiety and can be very stubborn. Creature Comforts is absolutely the best dog kennel in the Seattle-Tacoma area (we've checked out many through the years!). Not only is the price reasonable here, but personal attention is given to each dog daily, so they never feel neglected. With only 24 dog runs, the smaller size allows for more one on one handling. My dogs have been going to Creature Comforts for years. Now that I'm down to only one Newfie, he's always a "Happy Camper" here, and I can tell he's had fun! He absolutely loves to play and run in the grassy fields best of all, and loves his handlers there. Where else can you request a bath for your dog before you pick him up plus have the dog food included in an already reasonable rate? Some of our trips are 2-3 weeks long; although, we miss our dog, we always know that he gets lots of TLC and is well cared for. This place is the "real deal" and I would give it a 6th star just for being so awesome and worry-free for me! read more

This is not a luxe kennel (for those of you looking for posh indoor couches and lounges for dogs, go elsewhere), but that's not what we were looking for. We want a standard, clean, responsible kennel and Creature Comforts fits the bill. They are accommodating, have great hours, and are very affordable. My dog Peter and I visited Creature Comforts quite a few times during a short stay in the area. He isn't the most outgoing fella, but seemed to do very well there...perhaps became a bit more social even! Denise was always wonderful and often times fit Peter in or extended his stay on short notices. The two large yard areas were in excellent condition always. We really enjoyed this place quite a bit and very surprised to have read some of the prior comments. We have used Creature Comforts Kennels for several years. Our dog Colby give it a 5 paw rating and has a howling good time whenever we drop him off!! He is excited to spend the weekend or longer visiting with his k-9 friends! On more than one visit he even had the good fortune of hanging out with his brother from the same litter! :) We find the care given our family pet is way above board. All of the helpers have always been friendly, courteous, and kind to us and our dog. Thank you for always taking good care so we can go away on getaways and not worry about him.
