Could have easily spent a couple hours in there. Other than antique glassware and dishes (FiestaWare!) and lots of other fun little things, they also have bamboo clothing from EcoDesignz. I saw a dress I liked there but didn't buy it, and then got home and wished I had. I had seen that they had a Myspace page so looked them up, emailed them about the dress and they emailed me right back blahblahblah I had the dress 2 days later. They were SO incredibly nice to deal with, and I can't remember the last time I've been able to say that about a shop!

I took a lamp here that I had tried (unsuccessfully) to rewire myself. The original design was very…read moreprecarious and when I took it apart, I found the previous owner had really crammed any and everything they could to get this lamp upright and working. They had cut the bottom open crudely with a soldering iron and left it open and jagged. The lamp was always crooked, wobbling, tilted, and never screwed tight so I thought I would definitely improve it after rewiring it but- I could not figure out how to put it back together and so it sat in pieces, my beautiful lamp, in the back of my car for years. I wish I had taken pictures of it before I brought it to Pat Eggings in a bucket. Just so you could see the stark comparison of my sad lamp reduced to nuts, bolts, vintage brown glass globes, bronze/brass pillars, to this sturdy, solid and completely restored piece of art. He even put a perfectly cut slab of masonite on the bottom to safely close the jagged opening that had been carved on the bottom. The price was very reasonable and I will happily come to them with all my lamp repair needs! Of course it's also a great place to shop for one of a kind antiques and collectibles. Thank you so much!

I was put off a bit by this because, although true, it was a very in your face thing to say to someone just entering the store. I was planning on looking for books to purchase but while walking back to that area I heard the employee/owner? Say the same thing two more times in a loud voice to everyone in the store. It was a total turn off. I don't like feeling pressure to buy something to appease a shop owner. If your prices are good and I see what I like I will almost always purchase something. I love supporting local stores but this behavior was over the top and we walked out and so did several other people. I'm sure there are some people who look around because they are bored while waiting for the ferry and while that may be irritating as a shop owner, it is part of business anywhere. If you stand by your product then let people come in and browse without giving a guilt trip to people. We left and went a few stores down and made a purchase at a cute boutique where the owner welcomed us and let us browse and make a purchase without saying anything other than pleasantries.

I'm embarrassed to admit that is all I purchased on this trip. But what a wonderful store! If you are considering getting hand made wood lawn furniture, or house furniture for that matter...this is a wonderful place to go. This store is the shop where the Yankee Workshop shows off their goods, and what goods they are. Beautiful bookshelves, desks, tables, and of course lawn chairs...all shown off in an old farmhouse that feels like the perfect cross between a museum and a living home. Not cluttered, but filled with great pieces of furniture and various locally made goods such as jams that just look scrumptious. If you take the ferry over to Whidbey, this is a great place to stop before before you leave Clinton.
