I paid extra money for my dog to have a cot while I was away. Upon my return, I was told by staff that he has a cut above his left eye. When she brought him out she said she had to wipe green mucus from his right eye. I told her it looked infected. I paid and left. On the car ride home my dog smelled like urine. As soon as I got home I called back and asked about the urine odor and double checked that he slept in a cot. I also complained about the infection of his eye. I also noticed my dog was limping. I was reassured the manager would give me a call. That never happened! No one ever called. I decided I would no longer use them for my dog again. I do not feel like my dog was properly taken care of during his stay. Update: Yesterday I received a call from the President of the company. He apologized and offered a free bath for my dog. I accepted his apology and the free bath. The staff were also very apologetic. I appreciate him reaching out and addressing the issues and concerns.

The staff there thoroughly enjoy what they're doing and it shows in everything they do. They play with the dogs and even take them for rides in the row boat! They give them lots of love and they're very knowledgable. My dog goes to daycare often and I alway board him there when we can't take him with us. I brought my cat in for blood work, and when returning from the back room of this vet, he had a…read morebroken femur that had broken off from his hip. He was a completely capable cat going into this. When getting my cat back from the back room, we pointed out that he could not walk normally how he could before. We pointed this out to the vet and the vet cited arthritis as the cause of him not being able to walk. My wife and I were more concerned because he had never acted like this before. Dr. Brown then hesitantly recommended going to get an x-ray to see what maybe the cause while simultaneously inferring that arthritis could be the cause of his inability to walk. We went down the road to get an x-ray and it turns out that they had snapped his femur from his hip joint while under their care. When we asked about this, they were very hesitant and said they had to contact their insurance agents before answering any further questions. Dr. Brown then later came to us, confirming that his femur had been snapped and ushering us to get him euthanized, even though we had originally came in for simple bloodwork. Now my cat is lying next to me with his femur snapped as we wait to get a second opinion on what we can do while they try to cover their tracks on what they've done wrong. I highly do not recommend this for they have inexperienced that tax who will manhandle your animals behind the scenes without cameras and then become very KG when they are returned with exterior injuries. I say this as a cat dad of many years, who loves and cares for his animals and who would give nothing else for a cowboy, my cat, to be OK just like he was before visiting this vet for simple bloodwork. This vet needs to be investigated for malpractice in the very least.

Enter Santa Paws to make our day SO much easier. All in all it's your typical dog daycare experience, drop off at the beginning of the day and pick up at the end. One thing to keep in mind here is that daycare is also by appointment so make sure to call ahead to book the time, it's not just a "drop off whenever" situation. Not a problem though, they were super flexible with us and made the whole process as easy as possible. Santa Paws is tucked away from the highway so you do have to go about a mile and a half off the beaten path, but that just means more room to run. When you pull in, keep heading toward a larger building right behind the house and you'll see signs pointing you toward the entrance. We'll definitely bring our pup back if we ever find ourselves in this situation again - couldn't be happier with the experience and although our pup can't speak for herself, judging by how tired she was at the end of the day I'm pretty sure she had a good time too.
