The vibe here is super chill and everyone I've met, including other students/yogis, have just been super wonderful. Teachers here make you feel welcome and appreciated. They learn your name and I really feel cared for whenever I come to class. The bathrooms and showers are excellent and clean and I never really have a hard time finding parking, there is a lot of parking on the street and by the park. I look forward to every class I take here, whether it's Hot Vinyasa or Pilates (haven't tried the Yin classes yet). Some teachers will really push you to your limits and I feel like my practice has gotten so much stronger since starting here. I've been to several other studios around Albuquerque, and all are very unique and great in their own ways, but HYDT is the kind of vibe where I don't feel self conscious or embarrassed or uncomfortable. No phones allowed in the studio which I love! People talk to each other and connect with one another and I really feel like that is how it should be. This place is amazing if you're thinking about trying it out just do it! You will not regret it.

No Sanskrit, loud music and instructors/attendees are very cliquey (it reminded me of taking a yoga class at a gym). For me, it's nice to take a class every once and a while for something different, but I'll take my regular practice elsewhere.

My lower back warmed up nicely with his bridge preps and the bootie and calf raises, raised the burn higher... by the time we side plank flipped and swam ... arms, spine, abs were feeling the fire ... then as we squatted and burpee flowed the flames grew strong through our legs! Dominic led Burn with charisma and challenging fun, every muscle energized, a trance like sweaty state that taps us into deeper limits, pushing us to our edge and then some...it was the best way to begin Friday at sunrise at SWEAT!

Between the temp, the humidity, and the fact that I had drank already 60oz of water, I was sweating so profusely during my 90 min bikram hot yoga class that they brought me a second towel! I had gone to the gym earlier and it was Leg Day and so I had build up of lactic acid in my muscles, I sweated and stretched out muscles at hot yoga to the point that I could walk like a normal human! No baby deer walk!!! Woo Hoo! I highly suggest to add hot yoga or yoga in general with your exercise routine. This studio is fantastic! They have onsite showers and you can borrow mats, towels, or buy water! Everything you need in a studio!
