What a wonderful lil playhouse in a small town. Growing up here, there wasn't anything like this…read more It seats about 100 people. They serve wine, beer and water. Not a bad seat in the house. If you or someone you know is from South Louisiana, you or that someone will appreciate the plays here. All are usually about Cajun culture. You'll just "get it". I have a special appreciation for this place because my daughter has been in two productions. The one currently running, Torn Page is a must see. So funny, so touching and rather suspenseful. Check out their website for season tickets and upcoming shows.

My oldest daughter, who was 12 at the time, wanted to go to New York a year ago and one of her requests was a Broadway Play. I said ok sounds like a plan....before I looked up the prices. We decided upon Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre, again before I looked at the prices. When I saw it was 200.00 each, I screamed, cursed, yelled and I think cried but a promise is a promise. Low and behold this beer guzzling, sports loving, crotch scratching, manly man LOVED IT!! Worth every penny. Fast forward about a year or so and my girlfriend asked if I wanted to go to a play featuring her daughter as one of the stars. Of course, I was willing to go to support her but I had no idea I would enjoy it as much as I did again! Holy Crap if this continues, I'll be singing showtunes and talking about fashion!! Ok may be not that exteme. Ok let's get back on track. This is a small community theatre down in "Da Bayou" that caters to the people of the area. The play we saw was written by a local man that works at Nicholls State and performed by professional local actors. Yes they get paid to perform so it's top notch stuff. There are about 80-100 seats in the place all of which came from the old Saenger Theatre. Tickets are relatively inexpensive for what you get in terms of entertainment. Plus they have beer and wine to enhance your enjoyment. I look forward to the girlfriend "dragging" me back here again.

Food was delicious & the bartender was very personable and provided excellent service. I had scallops & shrimp Mac & Cheese and it was delicious with very fresh seafood. Cassie was behind the bar and a true pro at working that whole liquor dispensing thing...Great attitude cause I'm not much of a beer drinker and so I had her run through the entire beer offerings and she did it with grace! Plus I mighta had a more prurient interest cause she had to bend over...Hey! I ain't proud but I am a guy!!! PS She also has a double barreled personality, if you know what I'm saying... Excellent locale right next to Milanos and just a class interior and decor...got a postage stamp stage and I was told they have live music...I have a feeling that if I ever visit this place after dark with a crowd I'll be updating to a 5...however this is a great place for day drinking and I say that because that's all I've ever done here but as stated above I'm sureI I'd love this place after dark!! If in Houma stop in tip an adult beverage and relax!!

I had never heard of this place until my nephew had a birthday party here. It sounded kind of like it would be boring, but it was so much fun! The kids all were given a specific project to build in small groups. One of the most popular one was a suspended track that was built out of nothing but Legos. Once the track was built each child was given a car and they spent a good amount of time racing the cars down the track. The party was hosted by two employees and they basically took care of everything. They entertained the kids with games, cut and handed out the cake and cleaned up afterwards. Speaking of the cake...it's not included in any of the party packages so you have to bring that in yourself in addition to all of the paper products and drinks. They also sell lots of Lego products for boys and girls. It was fun and I'd consider having a birthday party here in the future for my own kiddies.

The day camp is $35 per day for 3 hours and my boy was over the moon! I witnessed a mother carrying a child out crying yesterday. A def compliment to Bricks, he simply just didn't want to leave.
