This daycare is not equipped to deal with children who have never been in daycare. All of the workers are older ladies.
I took my 3 year old grandson there. It was his first time ever being away from family. He had never really been around other children either. I dropped him off when their doors opened at 6:30am, and by 8:30am, they called me to come pick him up. They said that he was hitting the teachers and wouldn't stay in the room. I would think that a good, qualified worker would have been able to distract him, talk to him, treat him with a little tenderness, kindness and love to reassure him that he was safe. Did they? No! I work 30 minutes from there, plus I had to get away from work. It took me about an hour. When I got there, he was sitting in the floor with a glass of water sitting in front of him, in the office, with red eyes and face. When I walked in, he had his back to me. He turned around to see who it was. His little foot hit the cup of water and it spilled. The lady saw it, got all huffy, and she really did huff and stomp over to him like she was going to hurt him.
I do not feel that this is a daycare for children who have never been in daycare. read more
