Summers are full of fun events like bike and splash days and other special events for parents/families during the school year. We are lucky to have both ms razvi/ms Janet and ms Tucky/ms Aparna- we've felt supported here and both children are learning so much. Plus the kids loved their teachers. There seems to be a lot of support for the teachers w/ continued Montessori training and much more. There is almost no turnover, and many of these amazing teachers have been at Opus since it opened 4 years ago. We have been very happy here and are grateful to have found opus.

With two children enrolled, we've experienced every early childhood level (infant, toddler, and primary) and have consistently had positive experiences. The teachers are exceptional - they truly know each child, honoring their strengths and learning styles while fostering respect and independence in the Montessori tradition. They also partner closely with parents to create a strong, supportive environment. When our son was showing signs of a possible stutter, we worked collaboratively with his teacher and administration to have him evaluated. As his parents, we were ultimately empowered to make the final decision that we thought was best for him. MANH invests heavily in resources and specialists, such as speech therapists, for the children at all age levels. Montessori curriculum is also just incredible overall. Children in Primary (3-6) are learning foundational math, geography, and life skills through joyful, play-based exploration. At age four, our son can name all the continents and can explain early math concepts, as can many of his classmates. There is also an emphasis on social development, helping children grow as caring, respectful members of a community. As a small school, the administration is deeply involved in the daily experience of students and families. Like many educational institutions, there are areas of opportunity such as tuition cost, effective communication, and change management. That said, we've consistently seen the administration lead with genuine care, always keeping the children's best interest at the center of decisions. Whenever our family has raised concerns, they've been met with openness, respect, and thoughtful consideration. While not every outcome aligns with our preferences, we've always felt welcomed to share feedback and be part of a collaborative, respectful dialogue. MANH is a school where children are truly seen, supported, and encouraged. Over three years, we've watched ours grow in confidence, curiosity, and compassion. We're so grateful to be part of this community and can't imagine a better foundation for our kids.

Parents cannot opt out and have no say in their children's education. They will steal your deposit! Extremely high turnover for teachers, staff in general. In the last few years the school has lost more than one of their main teachers each year. Only two good ones remain. Unstable environment and constantly changing plans/layouts. They come up with new ideas each year, test them out, then realize these ideas don't work, change again, etc. Very disruptive for the students to be in such a constantly changing environment. Controversial ideologies are implemented in the curriculum and parents are not given a choice to opt out. If the parents decide to pull their children due to the controversial curriculum, the school steals their $1500 deposit. Families have to pay a $450 "field trip" fee during enrollment for the next school year. During the school year, they cancel field trips left and right , basically stealing the money that the families paid for the field trips in advance. Refunds are never offered. They "charge" for certain field trips for example the Shedd Aquarium and then end up taking the students on a "Illinois resident free day" to the Shedd, which does not cost the school anything, except for the bus fee. They charged families for an overnight field trip to one of the museums ($85) and notified parents later that the museum was under construction and they could not attend the field trip. Nobody ever got their money back! Instead they hosted a "sleepover " at the school to compensate. The school is run by an emotionally unstable Head Of School, with an enormous ego, who is not interested in any feedback, constructive criticism.

We've sent all three of our kids to Busy Bees and couldn't be happier with that decision. The Montessori instruction fosters independence and confidence in kids. People are constantly amazed at the things my kids can do -- like putting on their coats, feeding themselves, their ability to focus on tasks, etc. -- at a young age. We currently work with Elda and Gisel in the Eggs classroom, and these two teachers and their aides could not be more devoted to the children they work with. They clearly love each child, and know them very, very well. I also appreciate Busy Bees' willingness to communicate and partner with parents. As much as Busy Bees has been instructive for my kids, I've also learned a lot from the Montessori method they employ and the caring, fantastic staff they hire. We are so grateful for this wonderful little school!

Luckily we did get a chance for someone to show us around. During the tour the only thing that I disliked was the amount of clutter in the cooking area and the bathrooms. The open space in the center was nice and the kids were really friendly. Service wise I think this site could do better accommodating family's with Teachers who only need some months of the year. This place would would rather lock you in for a full year. If you are in the Arlington Heights area and only need a few months out of the year don't waste your time here; your better of not wasting time and looking elsewhere. I will add that they are also terrible about getting back to you.

I have visited the premises prior to Covid and it was very pleasant. The kids (both my nephews & the other kids) seem to love it and even form bonds with their teachers. I would suggest considering this place for your children but would also recommend you do all the necessary research.

Thanks to Bright Horizons, our kids are away from TV all day and instead being exposed to new things and learning with other kids. * The kids make their first friends and begin learning social and relational skills. The exposure, teaching, and skills development is more than we could ever give them at home each day. * When our oldest entered our local public school in Lake Zurich, he was off the charts with his reading and completely prepared for everything Kindergarten threw his way. * Our youngest has been there since he was a few months old. We're very pleased with the well-rounded development he's receiving. * The staff and teachers honestly care and get to know every child. * They also feed the children well. Sometimes I wonder if they eat better there than at our own home (they'll eat their vegetables there!). It's not just an expense, it's an investment in your child and for us it's been worth every penny.

We…read morevisited multiple centers in the area and found them to either be much more expensive or the facility was much older/run down. I was a bit hesitant because of Kiddie Academy's location (strip mall next to X Sport Fitness and Kohl's), but the inside is actually very spacious and parking was never an issue because of reserved parking for parents right outside of the Kiddie Academy entrance. What we really liked: * Each day, a "tadpole" is sent from an iPad -- it includes photos of your child during the day, what they ate, and diaper changes * The caregivers were fantastic. In particular, our son connected quite closely to Ms. Abby, Ms. Julie, and especially Ms. Emily. * The facility is secured with a computerized login to check in/out your child with a passcode * The price was much more reasonable than many of the other facilities in the area (despite being much nicer than most of the other daycares). We really felt like we got a fantastic deal * They have a monthly calendar of foods (breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc). It's not a gourmet meal, but it's nice to see that they've taken the time to come up with unique meal options and avoid repeats. * There's a clear educational focus that I really liked. * In the beginning and after Christmas break, our son had a difficult time going back to daycare. We really appreciated that we could call during the day and speak with one of the caregivers in the room to check on our son. Areas for improvement: * We would have liked a clearer transition plan for our two year old (moving from the toddler room to the two year old room). Our son turned two in late October, but he really only began transitioning in January. In fairness, he was at home for two weeks during Christmas break. By January, we had planned to have our son stay at home for the spring, so we decided to keep him in the toddler room for the remainder of the month, but it would have been nice for him to transition in November to be challenged intellectually and to be with similarly aged children * The payment system is easy, but it isn't directly connected to the check-in kiosk that shows your balance. It would be nice if everything was automatically connected and up to date as soon as a payment is made. * Although the toddler room had plenty of toys, we would have liked to have more books that weren't as beat up. Our son loves to read and it would have been nice to have newer books. The Arlington Heights library frequently has book sales -- it might be a good idea for the center to restock with new books in better condition.
