DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. Justin painted a sunporch for me in the spring & the paint didn't adhere so…read morehe came back & fixed it. OK, good sign. So we hired him to remove wallpaper & paint in several rooms that were remodeled. We had a contractor who did beautiful work. Justin gave an estimate & a date to start work. September 22-29. Well he got sick that week so he couldn't work. He called me asking if he could skip over my job & come in November. I said No, so in the end he made me pay for that. He came the following week. Showed up late most days, left early maybe worked 4 to 6 hours & the end result was terrible. Paint drips everywhere, nails & hooks left in walls & the walls he removed wallpaper from he did nothing to prepare them & just painted over them. In fact, he did that to every wall that had wallpaper that he removed. He was rushing to finish Friday of that week & walked me through looking for what needed touched up. He told me the one wall with the removed wallpaper (oh I paid him $1600 to remove wallpaper) that once the 2nd coat dried it would look better. It didn't. When I told him how bad that wall looked he apologized & admitted the work wasn't the best but being a guy who always has a ton of excuses he blamed being sick & said he shouldn't have worked that week. Basically, without getting into every detail the work looks awful. He attempted to right some of his shoddy work by coming over & mudding walls to create smooth surfaces he told me he'd be finished today with everything. When I texted him this morning he said he's trying to work me in around his other jobs & said he'd try and get done this week. I reminded him he said he'd be done today. A job that was supposed to be finished September 29th is now going into November with no end in sight. I had a new painter come over to see what needs done & he basically said he would need to go room by room & fix everything. I'm out SEVEN GRAND & need a new painter. I hired a professional so the work looks professional. I didn't get that. I feel completely ripped off. Justin will tell you he values your business & stands by his work but those are just meaningless words. Once he cashed my check he was done caring about his work or valuing my business. DON'T HIRE AGAPE PAINTING. If he did this to me he could do it to you.
