I've been an employee at Children's Learning Adventure for the past 3 years and was absolutely…read moreheartbroken to say my goodbyes just yesterday as my family and I prepare to move to California. Now that I am no longer an employee I feel as though I can leave my records of experiences with an open mind. A little about myself and my past experiences - I've worked with children for 14 years, and due to my husbands military career I've had experiences in multiple states with all age groups and in all positions. I came to visit Texas 3 years ago in preparation for our upcoming move from Virginia. I was prepared to deliver my resume all over League City to find my perfect fit. My search didn't last long. I walked into CLA and was immediately impressed, the building is beautiful and oozed cleanliness, the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming and suddenly all my nerves disappeared. I filled out my application and interviewed with Assistant Director, D'Anne. The conversation flowed and she seemed to approve and I was able to meet with Director, Vanessa. She walked me through the school and was honest with me about where she felt their weaknesses were and what her expectations would be of me. The upfront honesty and willingness to look into herself and her school with such unbiased eyes was a welcome feeling. My mind was made up - CLA was to be my home away from home upon arriving to Texas. The curriculum is outstanding - different from anything I had seen before. The kids travel to a variety of enrichment classrooms throughout the day; in each room is a planned and prepped activity for the kiddos, so they are engaged and active throughout the day - even our preteens were happy to be there, and if you have one you know how mind blowing that is. They truly are like family within that building. It was unlike any experience I've ever had. My training was lengthy and thorough. The training management made sure I was well aware of not just CLA policies but all Texas State Minimums - and coming from another state I was so happy to have had that thorough of a training period. The overall feel of the building is a happy one. When you walk through the halls and peer into classrooms you see smiling kiddos, teachers on the floor or at the tables working with their students - learning is evident with just a quick stroll down the halls. Personally, I have grown in so many ways thanks to my time there. Vanessa is not just interested in seeing her school grow, but her team as well. She pushed me in ways I've never been pushed before and working with her has given me more motivation and determination then I've ever had before. Due to her motivational talks and high expectations I'm happy to say that this school has changed immensely since I started 3 years ago. If you don't believe me I encourage you to check it out for yourself - it really is amazing. I'm thrilled to have been a part of such an amazing place with such wonderful people but I can't wait to see what the future holds for these people. As for the recent negative reviews that have surfaced...all I ask is that you take the time to really think these claims through and before passing judgement visit the campus and ask yourself - would anyone really want a child to fall ill here or lose their life here? As a child care provider, and a decent human being I know it's the last thing that I ever want to happen. Should I ever return to Texas there is no doubt Vanessa will be getting a call from me. I hope this insider review will help you out.

The staff is wonderful! Being a first time mom with a newborn, i carefully researched every childcare place in the area. The infant room has everything you can imagine to know your little one is safe. Owlet monitors for nap time was a huge plus! Not to mention the cameras you can view on their phone (because who doesnt want to watch their little on a screen all day lol). If you are looking for a childcare facility, i assure you this is the place!

We registered my daughter 8 months in advance of her enrollment date and I spoke with the staff several times throughout that period to discuss paperwork, confirming each time that we were still on for our scheduled enrollment date. Then out of no where they call us to say that they overbooked and we were being dropped. They couldn't guarantee us any enrollment date but just offered to let us wait another 12 months. I feel like this is an absolutely unacceptable business practice. We were essentially wait listed but led to believe we had a guaranteed spot. So we had no Plan B and were forced to look for another daycare last minute and had to accept the first one that had availability with such short notice.

Also, thanks for violating privacy laws. My daughter got exposed @ daycare. So like a good mom I take her to get tested after I received a letter stating that a teacher had been confirmed. Many employers do this weekly and biweekly so it should not have been an issue as my baby was asymptomatic. So I continue w my days as she showed no symptoms. She came back positive and the daycare said send a dr note of clearance which I did then they asked for proof of test and results which I gave, then tell me they dont want her coming back @ all ever. Because I did not tell them she got tested then said they dont believe they infected her Im beyond pissed. Theyre trying to say that she wasnt around the positive teacher long enough to have been exposed with an airborne virus that lingers and guess what the teacher still has her job. *Imagine if I was the other parents.. didnt care enough to get tested after the letter and ran around positive infecting people for weeks due to their negligence. So funny that taking the proper precautions on my end are being punished but not the daycare for not insisting everyone get tested or shutting down the whole facility As they should have

When our daughter started kindergarten the teacher told us that whenever she sees students come from Kids R Kids they know that those kids are prepared. For me that says it all. Not only do they help prepare your child for school but they're also like a second family which is important when your kids sometimes spend more time at daycare here than they do at their own home.

I am bringing my google review here because parents need to be aware!!…read more I attended a gymnastics competition as a paying spectator. My review reflects my personal experience during the session I attended. Seating inside the main competition space was extremely limited; yet tickets continued to be sold. Many attendees, including myself, had difficulty finding seating in the actual competition space. In the picture posted that was the only display of the score in the gym. Which as you can see it was difficult to see. So while the facility may meet industry standards, the experience was not enjoyable from my perspective. After posting my review, I was not contacted directly by the facility to better understand my concerns. The owner responded to my original review and said "We have no record of having met or interacted with this individual", however he (who I now know as Todd) was able to "track" me down. I was contacted via phone one day after my review was posted. Somehow Todd found out exactly who I was, contacted the gym I was at the competition supporting. And in turn the owner of that gym contacted the parent of the child I was supporting and asked could I take the review down. After I ignored that initial 3rd party message, I was contacted again asking to remove the review because the family of the little girl pictured in my reference photo is upset. Out of respect for the family I came to remove the photo and update the public on how Todd handles conflict/differences of opinions at his establishment. I found that approach to be unprofessional. Is this really an establishment you'd trust with your children if this is how they (he, Todd) handle conflict... If there were concerns about my feedback or the photo I initially included, direct communication would have been appropriate and welcomed. **original review** Visited here for the a gymnastics competition, the service was awful and they are money hungry . For starters this gym decided to host a competition knowing that their gym is small. They sold me and was still selling tickets to customers knowing there was no where else to sit in the actual gym. Then they only had one projector showing scores that you couldn't even see. Terrible! I would never put my child in a program here and I would never come back here
