He didn't want to come back and his teacher for 3 year olds approached me rudely about why my son couldn't trace a certain letter and that he needed to be helped by her. He has attended other schools and always positive but this one in particular was negative. My mom senses told me not to take him back and I'm glad I listened. No one at the school has even thought of contacting me to ask what happened. So if I could get this no stars.. I would.

It's an in home set up, not a traditional preschool, but the kids get so much more attention. It's usually a small group, and I love that!

They truly do treat everyone like family here. The center is located in a repurposed home in a location fairly central to the entire City of Oakdale. They are open 6am-6pm Monday-Friday. They are closed on most major holidays but they aren't over the top about the amount of holidays they observe per year. Unlike some of their competitors, I think they understand what being closed for an excessive amount of holidays does to families that count on them to look after their children while they work. Little Star Day Care offers a wide range of services for all ages. All day programs for the especially young kids not yet in school, before or after school programs for those school age kids, and kindergarten drop off and pick up for those parents struggling with the half day kindergarten program offered here in Oakdale. They also offer all day care during the summer and school breaks for those older kids that still aren't quite ready to be at home unsupervised. If you shop around much you will find that their prices are very fair too! That is something I'm sure that can not be said about most day care centers. They offer a great program that is well rounded and structured. The center has a number of different rooms that have been repurposed for the different programs they offer. They also have a good sized outdoor play area with all the appropriate play equipment. My kids always come home safe, happy, and excited for the next chance to return to play with their friends at Little Star Day Care Center! Mr. Pat and Miss Linda are always very welcoming and pleasant to be around. I am proud to say that there are still amazing people in this world and that at least the two of them are looking after my children for me. I strongly recommend Little Star Day Care Center for anyone looking for someone to take good quality care of their kids. My only wish would be that they would offer a slightly different schedule and hours of operation. I think it would be great if they stayed open until 7pm, even if only during the summer, to further accommodate parents that commute to work and need just a little more time to make it back to town. I would also love to see them open on Saturdays. No day care center in Oakdale or surrounding areas offer either of these services and I'm sure it would bring them quite a bit more business in addition to being another great service they are able to offer to their families. We had nothing but good experiences here and highly recommend it. The teachers are very patient with the children, older children help younger children settle into routines, and the school even helps with potty training when the time comes. When our daughter started Kindergarten at the local elementary school, we found she was far beyond her classmates in math. This school prepared her well. Your child will take time to settle into the new environment. It took my oldest nearly six weeks. The school will work with you, so be patient and don't blame the school if your child isn't ready.

What I got instead was several weeks of back and fourth emails, and a check that was finally recieved via snail mail aka USPS. I thought: "FINALLY", cause... hey, we're talking a little over $1,800. I go to deposit it and lo and behold.. IT'S NOT SIGNED. Yes, seriously, they sent me an unsigned check. From there, I went back to the email thread, going back and forth a million times with accounting and random people who never introduced themselves. An aggressive email from a random staff member named Patricia, who never introduced herself or her role in the whole situation. I didn't receive any phone calls, no apology, no accountability. Weeks go by, and I don't receive another check, so I filed a dispute with my bank after attempting to resolve this for over a month. Guess what? I finally heard back from accounting. They tried to get me to cancel my dispute so that they could issue a check again. I said nope! Thankfully, a week or so later, my bank was able to refund me the entire amount after literally faxing them our email thread and the unsigned check. Please do not bring yourself or your children here. The staff here is unprofessional and incompetent and needs to brush up on their customer service. Avoid. At. All. Costs.

They do lots of activities for babies i was very surprised tge did painting hand prints foot painting with my baby. I like how they are very organized as well i never have anything missing from her bag. And when they change my 10 month old i noticed one day the teachers will wash her hands i was suprised at that they are very clean. I never even thought to wash my infants hands but ever since i seen themdo it i have continued. My 10 month old claps her hands. I like how the teachers document everythingabout my baby from six months to now everyday i can look back at what she did, learned and, and ate down to how long her naps were. My 3 year old loves it there as well. She always has to tell mrs. Domson goodbye when i pick her up. Also she has her favorite teachers as well. My 3 year old now knows a few prayers she actually started a tradition everytime we eat we pray i like that its something new she picked up from the school and she has implementedit in my house. Also she has me read her a book everynight. I like how the teachers are very interactive with the children. By far one of the best pre school in modesto. They will also call you if they hace questions or concerbs about your child instead of going off what they think is best to do. I like how they keep me invilved with my children when im at work keeps me at ease.
