Kim Van Wieren came out to do my in-home estimate, and he brought a massive amount of samples to look through. After coordinating with my sister who lives overseas, we settled on a colour and amount of transparency. Once the shades were ready, Kim came back out and did the installation. I could not be happier with the quality and the overall look. Switching from the old dated plastic miniblinds to modern shades made the room really come alive. This was the BEST decision I could have made and Kim was so patient and kind throughout the whole process.

He yelled, made excuses, lied about what was included, blamed others for his errors, and even used profanity on speakerphone in front of my family. We discovered missing blinds only when the installer showed up -- something Jason never communicated. Then he denied responsibility and tried to shift blame. I am disabled, dealing with significant stress already -- and Jason's aggressive behavior and refusal to take accountability made the situation worse. The lady spoke negatively of Budget Blinds and came off dishonest.. a completely different experience from Rich. I decided 5 mins into that interaction that I was sticking with Rich. Just based on the professional and friendly customer service. Unfortunately, my shades weren't what I wanted them to be but Rich & Mark did not take it personal and they were so patient and kind even though I was very blunt about what I didn't like. Somehow one of windows was a different shade, the valances weren't what was described, and we didn't like how they looked (personal opinion) but others liked them. They did everything within their power to satisfy us as their customers. They contacted the manufacturer to correct the issues that were pointed out and did it without any animosity. Rich owned the misinformation given to me and that's powerful. This could have been a 2 star review, just because of all of the things that "went wrong". I understand not every transaction will go smoothly, which happened to be mine, but the way they handled everything was Chik-fil-a top tier, lol. I didn't want to mention the series of unfortunate events but to me that is what brought out their best service. FYI the issues were out of their control and I am picky. I used them three times and every time they came out for the installation they did not do what we agreed on during the consultation and then said they gaslighted me saying telling me thats not what we agreed upon (it is MY home....I know what I asked you to do). One designer even ordered one set of blinds differently than agreed upon and said after the installation (oh I liked it better that way so I ordered it like that) even though it is different from every other blind in the house.
