-Bonney Lake Location: It pains me to update this review, removing 3 stars. The food is still very good, however, in the last 8 months or so, their wait time is bonkers. I do not feel this is due to being too busy, but something else. When you submit an order online, it usually says it will be ready in 30 minutes but, in fact, it's 45, 60 or more. This has happened to us every time we ordered in 2025 and 2026. If they decide to update their system to more accurately set wait expectations, we may go back. Our family can't wait an extra 20+ minutes when we already waited 40, and given a 30 minute expectation. read more

Tried this spot with a friend and ordered everything to go. We picked up the chicken tostada plate, asada fries, and a California burrito. They included three salsas--tomatillo, habanero, and a regular red one. The tostada was decent once I added salsa; nothing standout but not bad either. The burrito was pretty disappointing, with very little meat, lots of filler, and a thin layer of guacamole that didn't add much. The asada fries were bland on their own, and the meat was chewy and not enjoyable. Most of the salsas weren't great, though the habanero was the only one that worked well with the food. Our order was ready in about 10-15 minutes, and it seemed like most people called ahead. There were only two tables for dine‑in, and they had some refreshers I didn't try. Just a warning when ordering online from the Crazy Taco website: Clover gives you the wrong address for this Bonney Lake location. Thankfully I called to find out what truck had my order! Additionally the prices online are higher than they are in person, so I guess next time I'll just have to walk up and wait to get the lower prices. Picking up my food wasn't a difficult task and the gas station is easy to park at. The main reason I wanted to check out this place was for the Birria pizza. It's decent and I feel it's worth the $25 or so for all the meat you got. Just a giant quesadilla you can share. Beans and rice are good and the Horchata is meh. Flan is ok. I did order two Tripas Mulitas and instead ended up with two tripas tacos. They were crispy but ultimately not what I ordered. Will I be back? Probably not. Service could not have been any friendlier, but I did have some issues with Crazy Taco. First with a name like this, either you are looney, or these tacos are so tasty it drives you nuts. I'm sad to report neither was the case here. I decided to go with the burrito. First the wait was a bit long. It was close to 15 minutes. I was in the store for 10, then stood in the cold another 5. Felt excessive based on the limited customers I saw when I arrived. At $13, the price was fair, I've seen burritos for less, but when this was served, it was heavy leading me to believe I got my money's worth. It came with two salsas and here is where I got irritated. The salsa cups were half as big as any other truck, then the cup was only half full. The two cups equaled about a teaspoon total. Each additional cup was $.25, I ended up coming back for 4 cups. The girl didn't charge me, but I put the dollar in the tip jar, but again, 2 of the 4 cups were only half full. Between 6 cups, it barely got me through half the burrito. Honestly, the burrito was average. For me burritos should burst with flavor and here the only flavor that caught my attention was the rice. The meat was ok, but nothing special, the beans didn't have that pork lard flavor and the guacamole was watery and tangy instead of chunky and garlicy. Sounds bad, but again, it was okay. I don't think this place is 5 or even 4 stars. It's going to be better than most fast food, but I'd take Chipotle over when I had here today. I've certainly had worse, but on a scale of 1-10, this is a solid 6.5, possible 7, but not wort and extended drive. read more

I know this place is called Crazy Taco, but their burrito's are why my wife and I come here. A carne asada burrito with rice, beans, sour cream and easily some of the spiciest hot sauce in Bonney Lake. It's huge too! I had two tacos and we split the burrito but we still couldn't finish it. On top of this, the owners are super nice. It's actually in a convenient location next to a gas station. Get gas. Pop in the store for drinks. Maybe grab some beer for later. Plenty of parking. Even some seats if you want to eat right there. I liked the vibe here. One thing I would say, and I secretly hope they see this and actually try it out... I think this truck would blow up if they had a California burrito on the menu. Add those french fries in! Crazy Taco? Well let's get crazy with the burrito's as well. Put a sign out on 410 advertising these new California burrito's and you are going to have a ton of new customers. There are SO many California transplants up and down King and Pierce County looking for authentic Mexican food, me being one of them. And this spot is pretty damn good in my opinion. I finally gave this place a try. I liked it. I love street tacos and thought these were good. I don't judge by whether something is "authentic" or not.. all I care about is good flavor. I typically prefer "upscale mexican" that offer black beans with cotija cheese crumbles.. but I don't expect that from taco trucks. If I were to nitpick I'd say I thought the meat was chopped a little finer than I prefer and was fairly dry. I've had better at some restaurants around the area.. but these did the trick for a quick street taco fix. I tried a chicken tamale and thought it was really good. I don't eat tamales often to don't have much to compare it to but I liked it with some of their habanero hot sauce dumped on it.
