This place is a bad represention of Asian style desserts. The service wasn't poor to start but it was at the end which just left a bad taste in our mouths. The only winning point is their free wifi!
To start, it has influences from Hong Kong (bubble waffle), Taiwan (bubble tea and yu yuan), and Japan (matcha, azuki).
It was a big disappointment when we found they ran out of mille feuille crepe cakes but it happens. We ordered mochi ice, yu yuan with sago & tapioca pearls, and matcha frappe instead. The only thing acceptable was the mochi ice but it's store bought, how could you go wrong?
The yu yuan had partially uncooked pearls and taro/ sweet potato balls. Pearls should have a touch of sweetness, I didn't taste anything. The evaporated milk was confusing as that's not the usual way it's served.
My friend's matcha frappe was served in a plastic smaller cup than the one shown in pics and from other tables which feature a fountain soda cup.
Finally, we inquired about the signage on the table to scan a QR code, promote the business via social media and receive a free bubble waffle. Their first response is it expired. Great...why don't you remove the signage? They followed up with, we're not responsible. Who is?? Oh, and the signage is only in Chinese. read more
