I stopped in here on the drive from Hawkes Bay to Auckland. After searching through tons of coffee places along the route, I came across Crazy Good Coffee. It looked legit and so I decided to check it out.
The place is tiny and super cute. They have a little collection of feathers taped to the wall, in a really cool looking way. I wish I could pull off something like that in my house, but there's no way. They really made it work though. There is a little shelving unit off to the left of the shop which houses little coffee accessories for sale. They sell plungers, filters, keep cups. They have most anything you'd need to make a solid cuppa at home, including fresh roasted beans.
I ordered a soy capp and my boyfriend got the same. As usual I brought my to-go cup, and the barista had no qualms about it (it's American sized, like 16 oz). The coffee production was quick, but high quality, and the music in the store was vibey and upbeat. I really enjoyed the little store and had a nice little seat in the wire chairs they have by the window, which seem to be there for people who are grabbing to-go cups.
The only downside of this visit is that I live too far away to visit again any time soon. I'm obsessed with this place! read more
