There's Havana coffee, a good selection of freshly baked artisan breads and a mouthwatering display of sweet treats in the cabinets. A lot of classic combinations such as chicken and mushroom, steak & kidney, smoked fish, sweet lamb curry, and butter chicken. It's hard to have just one. I think my favourite thing I discovered there was their double happy roll. What makes it double happy? It was filled with ground beef on one side and creamy mashed potatoes in the other. Yum yum! There's almost three dozen pie flavours to choose from. Guess that's why their pies are famous! A special shout out to their regular hours: they open everyday at 3:00am! From the first sip to the last drop, the balance of well roasted beans and perfectly creamy steamed milk delivered great satisfaction. It's not often that the quality, high quality, of the bean roasting and flavor comes through. The beans were roasted brilliantly for a Flat White, not so dark that that all of the origin flavors are gone, not so light that my face puckered from wild green beans. The coffee flavor was strong, balanced and nicely tempered with perfectly steamed milk. A sign in front of the shop said something like Try our award winning espresso made by our award winning barista. We're very happy we did. Sorry we haven't tried any of the food yet, it looked great.

I stopped in here on the drive from Hawkes Bay to Auckland. After searching through tons of coffee…read moreplaces along the route, I came across Crazy Good Coffee. It looked legit and so I decided to check it out. The place is tiny and super cute. They have a little collection of feathers taped to the wall, in a really cool looking way. I wish I could pull off something like that in my house, but there's no way. They really made it work though. There is a little shelving unit off to the left of the shop which houses little coffee accessories for sale. They sell plungers, filters, keep cups. They have most anything you'd need to make a solid cuppa at home, including fresh roasted beans. I ordered a soy capp and my boyfriend got the same. As usual I brought my to-go cup, and the barista had no qualms about it (it's American sized, like 16 oz). The coffee production was quick, but high quality, and the music in the store was vibey and upbeat. I really enjoyed the little store and had a nice little seat in the wire chairs they have by the window, which seem to be there for people who are grabbing to-go cups. The only downside of this visit is that I live too far away to visit again any time soon. I'm obsessed with this place!
