We desperately needed a birthday cake and there isn't much other options to choose from in this area. We knocked on the door as we saw a lady cleaning inside the store. The lady came out and we told her if there's any cake left, we'll buy it! And there was this beautifully made salted caramel chocolate cake... it was to die for!!! It's got crunchy caramel bits like hokey pokey (New Zealand ice cream flavor) in between layers and it was topped with caramel sauce and chocolate bits. It was so perfect and I wouldn't change a thing! I'll be sure to stop by when they're actually open next time and check out other pastries and baked goods! There's Havana coffee, a good selection of freshly baked artisan breads and a mouthwatering display of sweet treats in the cabinets. I am working my way through my favourites - cannoli and coffee caramel eclair are already ticked off the list. The strawberry tart is awaiting my next visit!

It looked legit and so I decided to check it out. The place is tiny and super cute. They have a little collection of feathers taped to the wall, in a really cool looking way. I wish I could pull off something like that in my house, but there's no way. They really made it work though. There is a little shelving unit off to the left of the shop which houses little coffee accessories for sale. They sell plungers, filters, keep cups. They have most anything you'd need to make a solid cuppa at home, including fresh roasted beans. I ordered a soy capp and my boyfriend got the same. As usual I brought my to-go cup, and the barista had no qualms about it (it's American sized, like 16 oz). The coffee production was quick, but high quality, and the music in the store was vibey and upbeat. I really enjoyed the little store and had a nice little seat in the wire chairs they have by the window, which seem to be there for people who are grabbing to-go cups. Every single French person would tell you the same thing: what they really miss when they're abroad is French food and especially French bread and bakery. (also saucisson, and cheese) One day, some friends of mine showed me this very special place. I was skeptical first, because you can't find true real French bakeries abroad easily. Usually you find croissants which don't taste like croissants in France T___T! I'm not saying there'nt good, just saying that they taste different. But when I came closer I could see the little sticker on the door "Artisan boulanger". Startled I yelled :"no way!!! It's a real French bakery!!" A huge smile on my face, I ordered croissants, pies, Florentins comme à la maison! They taste just like the ones I could buy in France. Such a good quality, such a delight!
