She said she corrected the error and apologized. Then, after we paid, she noticed she still charged us more than we were supposed to be. My go-to juice bar. I have been going here for a very long time, I have been a faithful customer since they were at their other location up the hill. The family that owns this place is very friendly and they exhibit great customer service. As far as the juices, I always order the Crazy Green and it is still my favorite to this day. Over the last few years they have worked on the decor and overall appearance of the shop which has taken their branding very far. I've been a loyal customer of Crazy Fruits since they were located up the block, but at this point I'm honestly fed up. This past Sunday, I clearly ordered a juice, not a smoothie. The employee even asked me twice and I confirmed both times. When I got my order, it was made wrong. Instead of simply correcting it, she argued with me and insisted I ordered a smoothie. I was literally on the phone with my mom when I ordered, and she heard me say juice. Her attitude was completely unacceptable. She got visibly annoyed and shoved the drink toward me. Then another employee came over, snatched the smoothie out of my hand, pushed the juice into my hand, rolled her eyes, and walked away. No apology, no professionalism, just straight attitude. And this is not a one time situation. It is consistently the same two employees working together. Every single time they are on shift together, the experience is negative. The attitude is rude, dismissive, and honestly unprofessional. Orders are either wrong or not prepared on time, and instead of taking accountability, they respond with attitude. I've placed orders ahead before, showed up expecting them to be ready, and they hadn't even started them. Meanwhile, they were in the back talking while I was on a time crunch trying to get to work. Let me be very clear. In today's economy, people are choosing where they spend their money very carefully. Businesses are closing every day because of poor service and lack of professionalism. This is exactly how loyal customers stop coming back. I have supported this business for a long time, but dealing with the same rude behavior from the same two employees over and over again makes it not worth it. A go to spot in the neighborhood for sure! The smoothies and fresh juices are made to order and are extremely tasty and fulfilling. There's a variety of options available so you can always find something for your taste buds. The smallest size which is a 20oz is more than enough for one person in my humble opinion and can be enjoyed over the course of 30 mins to an hour. I've yet to try their food menu but the empanadas are made hot and fresh and they do not skimp on the fillings like some places. The store is pretty small so you should order and head out but they work quickly to get you order. There are a few seats and tables outside where you can hang and in the times I've placed my order and waited outside as to not crowd the entrance the staff has been nice enough to bring my order to me when it's ready. My fam and I recently moved back to the Bx and greatly missed our neighborhood juice spot. One day after a weekday run, my son searched for a closer spot and found Crazy Fruits. It's off of Bainbridge Ave, near Montefiore Hospital. Usually, traffic in that area is horrible but it was after rush hour and before lunch, so it was only a 10 minute drive. When we arrived, there were a few people already waiting but all had placed their orders. The place seems to be attached to a Bodega, and they operate out of a large window, where you're able to see all of the people working on your orders. They have fresh fruits on display. They also offer pastelitos, which are displayed right up front and are freshly made, and served with some great sauces...definitely get the green and chipotle sauces. They have acai bowls, dragonfruit bowls, sandwiches, breakfast items, wheatgrass and other immune boosting shots, and Mexican items. I'm assuming that they're best known for their "crazy fruit" creations, and although I've never seen one in person, the pictures look amazing. The wait can be a lot, especially if they have a lot of customers at the time you arrive. It's always best to order ahead, but even with that, you might still find yourself waiting a while. My only issue with ordering is, depending upon who answers the phone, the ordering process might be frustrating for both people. They're usually using the blenders, there are people ordering, and then your trying to place a detailed order over the phone. It would be helpful if they had online ordering available, and hopefully that will be coming soon. They also offer delivery so it's definitely worth it to see if they deliver to your area. Not surprisingly, it looks like they'll be expanding soon. I peeped some flyers posted for help wanted. I envision a line of Vitamix bases with a bunch of containers, allowing them to more efficiently complete orders. So far, the faves of the fam are: #51 Peanut Butter Yum w/almond milk, chia seeds, extra peanut butter, and vanilla protein powder #52 Protein Knockout #76 Sweet Pear w/extra cinnamon #80 Tropical Green #91 Acai Smoothie w/dragonfruit Fave pastelitos are beef & cheese...definitely can't go wrong with those. Shrimp were good also. Always ask for the sauces! Everything is very fresh and they're very clean. Everyone wears masks and gloves. I feel very safe ordering from them. I wish they had a cup sealing machine so that traveling with a large order of drinks isn't so precarious. Sealed cups are the way to go. read more

Crazy Fruits is the best! Their staff is super friendly and have provided excellent customer service every time I have been there. All the smoothies and juices I have had have been delicious. The acai bowls are a favorite of mine. I only wish the main smoothie part was a little thicker. But the flavor is spot on. The pastelitos are excellent. Especially the cheese. Their cobb salad with chicken is grade A! Huge salad and it is so yummy. I work at the hospital near by and am so happy that I found Crazy Fruits. Cool little walk up counter on Bainbridge Avenue where you can get fresh fruit, beef/chicken/cheese empanada's, juices, and smoothies. It has relatively quick service so if you are in a rush this is the place for you. I was really excited to taste the empanada's since it looked like an authentic spot to get them. After trying it I wasn't too thrilled. It wasn't bad but I get better ones at other places. The crust was pretty hard and the filling needed seasoning. No flavor stood out to me. I think it needed some dipping sauce but a true empanada should be able to stand alone. I don't like juices or smoothies but my friend said they were pretty good. They didn't drown it in chipotle sauce and I taste an even amount of everything in the sandwich. Only thing is I wish the red onions were cut a little thinner bc it was a little over powering but other than that! 5 stars! We also had passion fruit smoothies (I had them add strawberries and ginger in mine) . There isn't much I can say about this place other than they make good smoothies. They have an open window concept for their main business, you just walk up to the available cashier and dassit. They have a lot of options to choose from and some unique combinations. For instance, today I got the 20oz 90a drink, which has soursop, ginger, pineapple and coconut milk. Not a lot of places offer soursop! And it's darn good too. They even sell pastelitos: chicken, beef, cheese and then veggie (ever had a veggie pastelito? How unique, right?!). Obvi got the veggie one and it had a bit of an acid twinge to it, maybe the vegs were cooked in Acv. Either way it wasn't overwhelming and really good. Also, they sell açaí bowls which is really dope! I would liken this place to a more diversified Juice generation ( juicy gen as I call it), as one of the bowls were named hella good greens. I really enjoy this place. The juice quality is quite good and the veggie empanada is yummy too. The prices are right! A medium 20z juice is just $5. Near my job a small is easily $8-10. I would suggest employing a more precise measurement system. While every green juice I've had is tasty, they have tasted quite different at times. I love this juice bar something that's a unicorn in the Bronx. They have over 100 different variations of smoothies, juices,shakes, acai bowls and fresh chopped fruit cups. Everything they make is made with fresh ingredients and made right in front of you. I tried their smoothie #90 AMAZING. I also had their veggie quesadilla and a cheese pastillo. Both were really good but try and eat them soon after paying. The cheese gets really solid, similar to cold mozzarella sticks. Only down side is if you order hot food you do have to wait about 15 minutes since everything is made fresh. Also ask for their cream chipotle sauce it's everything. read more

I'm feeling better already just by writing this review! This joint is totally legit. I happened to walk by, last week, and I decided to give it a try. The day was nice and sunny. I noticed that several customers were standing before the open service window. The smell of freshly cut fruits and vegetables was very pleasant. On each side of the the service window, they have an extensive and interesting menu. I ordered the Sore Throat juice with a touch of ginger. DELICIOUS. I highly recommend it. I'm planning to stop by very soon! The staff was very polite and proficient in the service they provided me. They also sell some good-looking empanadas; which I will try, at least one, on my next visit. I was told to try a fresh juice called the Flu Shot; something that I'm looking forward to, due to the fact that I'm recovering from a viral infection. read more

This place is terrible when it comes to the delivery methods. They state that they open at 6 AM and close at 8:30, I called at 7:55 to have a delivery and he told me that the kitchen is closed at 7:30 nothing on the menu states that they do not cook after 730 which is false advertisement on the menu. They need to indicate this on the Menu stating that the kitchen is closed after 7:30 PM and you are not able to order any hot foods. Will never order for them again and I will recommend all of my friends to never order from this place again... step up your game and create a new menu read more

These people are amazing. Walking by the place catches your eyes almost immediately. They really put LOVE into that place. Everyone in there is busy doing some work, the fruits are all fresh, and everyone is helpful. On top of the good tasting smoothie, they were also very accomodating. This is a small stand that sells smoothies and empanadas. It's on my way to the subway so I like to stop by here and get a snack to take on the train. This place is amazing!!! The smoothies are absolutely delicious. They freshly juice whatever you want for the juice part of the smoothie and then mash fresh fruit, agave, and ice together for the perfect smoothie. They really know what they're doing here. I am also in love with the empanadas with their spicy sauce. The chicken empanadas have delicious white meat chicken and are full of flavor. The staff here is very nice and while prices could be better, they are what you typically pay for this type of quality. We're lucky to have a place like this in the area and although there aren't many Yelp reviews for this place, locals definitely know about Crazy Fruits. read more
