When research dictates that we visit a couple farms throughout the day - our team seeks out good eats to tie us over :) On one such afternoon, we ventured into Morrinsville looking for some lunch, and I dare say we found a local hotspot! Pretty surprised there are no other reviews for this quaint, quirky and busy (sorry I couldn't think of another "q") cafe...
In a smaller town, one does not typically expect to find ample vegetarian options, high end baked goods, and great outdoor seating, yet Crazee Cow delivered on all three of these.
Try the couscous salad for a lovely non-meat option, or one of their daily specials if you are looking for something more hardy (I had the seafood chowder and it filled me up until dinner easily!) We also split one their apricot melting moments... and like its name suggests - it really did make me stop and just enjoy the brilliant creamy mixture of biscuits, buttery icing and apricot chunks. YUM!
Oh - and I particularly appreciated the table numbers - animal ear tags ... a witty link to the restaurant's name :) Props to the owners for the little details. read more
