Even pralines, something in which that area of the United States specializes, aren't very inspiring. It's more of a tourist trap. The good news is that this airport Candy Kitchen is actually better than the original by some bizarre twist of fate. In fact, it's actually one of the better dessert stops in any U.S. airport. So I just called the restaurant to let them know and I wasn't necessarily wanting money I was more or so trying to warn them because spoiled seafood is very dangerous if consumed but the woman that answered the phone continued to cut me off, speak over me and while arguing that this can't be true she stated "there's no way, we cook thousands of pounds of crawfish a day" and yes they do however that doesn't mean that this batch or these last few did not spoil while sitting in the bottom of that bucket thing that they keep them in. All I needed was for this business to show some empathy and be appreciative just in case someone else ate them. There are fresh vegetables you can purchase in large fridges along with drinks, etc. you can also purchase frozen seafood from large freezers they have as well. Upon getting my total... the math wasn't mathing by an extra $6+. I've been coming here for years but recent they now charge a 3% credit card transaction fee. Typically places pass along the cost by adjusting their prices but this, it's another way to pass along your costs to your customers. This will make be think twice about coming so I'll be looking for another seafood spot sadly. Just be prepared to pay the transaction fee that was not automatic which can add up on large orders, even small even your hard earned dollars are spent.
