This is one of the best run, caring and compassionate businesses in the Capital District. Pet Spas…read morewas the only place that I would take my dog to for services. I took my maltese here for boarding and grooming for almost 16 years (my dog just passed). In this time the cost for a grooming only went up three dollars and some change! I was always happy with his cut and reasonable time it took for him to be groomed. Amy used to groom him, she was the best. My dog always came out with a big smile on his face. The staff are ALL beyond kind and considerate towards my dog and I. I boarded him at least once or twice a year (for 10 days) in the suites with the webcams. You must book early for these on holidays. I loved checking in on him and watching him play in the doggie day care (while I missed him on vacation). The staff are attentive to any medications and/or dietary needs, and will call you if there are any major problems while boarded. This business is so great that there is a strong following of people who keep it really busy, so plan ahead for a grooming and boarding. It will be worth it. I totally recommend Pet Spas and Suites. They are so personable and caring. This isn't run like a corporate pet store where you never see the same people again the next time you come in, the crates are half the size at the corporate chain pet store. I went once and they were rude. I had a friend whom the corp. chain didn't take notes on her dog who had a hip problem (nor did they listen to the owners) and the dog ended up getting hurt- requiring surgery- costing thousands of dollars and pain and suffering to her dog. That would never happen at Pet Spa. It will be sometime before I get another pup but I know where I'll be taking him/her when I do. I will miss the Pet Spa & Suites family until then. Thank you for all the love you gave my dog Caesar and the beautiful things you did to honor his life after he passed. They meant the world to me.

Very kind people, but they will NEVER cut my doodle again. The groomer did not even greet me when I came or when I arrived to pick him up. I'm very disappointed honestly.

How on earth this place keeps winning in the local paper's "Best Of" is beyond me. If you try to…read moreget a human being on the phone, you're out of luck. Need a prescription? You're driving 45 minutes to pick it up at some hippie herbal store cause they don't have a pharmacy. After being told I 'sounded upset' after 3 WEEKS of them screwing up the prescription over and over and over, I was handed off by some weepy snowflake to someone who couldn't even apologize - I'm sure you can figure out what I'm saying by a quick glance at the staff photo. Lots of Baby Snowflake Karens. The only cool person was the vet herself! The best? When we got sick of their nonsense and went to our old vet, turns out that 1 of the conditions they claimed our kitten had, THE KITTEN DIDN'T HAVE. If you're gonna do a cash grab, be subtle about it. This is an edited review after calling this morning to try to figure out why I was suddenly charged…read morealmost $500 unexpectedly. The kennel had forgotten to charge a previous 2 night stay. They told me at one point that they don't keep a card on file, but I had given them my debit card to charge that stay and they forgot to do it. So when they remembered, rather than calling me and letting me know they were going to charge my debit card, they just charged it out and sent an invoice that said December 30. I changed my debit card number yesterday and will never give it out again this way to a business. When I called to find out what was going on, there was absolutely no accountability for the financial impact of forgetting to charge my card and then doing it without at least notifying me first. This was the culmination of several issues with the clinic. I won't go back.
