Then the worst part was when Steve fell through my kitchen ceiling and tried to blame me. And if that wasn't bad enough that my kitchen ceiling came down they sent three guys who had been drinking to fix the ceiling. Instead of fixing the ceiling they cut a square out of the ceiling and put a square into the ceiling even though a 4x8 sheet was ruined plus and then they ruined the texture on my ceiling. And to this day it's still like that because they've never fixed it. Even though every job that I ever had them work on I paid cash money. So I wouldn't recommend them for anything. I strongly recommend anybody should call the Arkansas electrical licensing or the contractor's licensing board to make sure that all the workers that come to your house are indeed licensed in the state of Arkansas. I will say one thing that was good about the company and that was Ed. Ed was an extremely personable person I don't know what his actual job is but I would say working in a field of construction that I had for decades that I would say he would be an amazing outside salesperson because he is definitely a good talker very pleasant professional and it's got a sense of humor. So yay for Ed but he's not the one working on anything electric or drywall for that matter. So I would not hire zimdall electric. Also I have to say that this is nothing to do with the original owner Richard zimdall who is retired. This business is not owned by zimdalls anymore. So it's sad that somebody does that shoddy work using a company name who built a strong following in the Mountain Home area. I believe the owner there is Matthew Archie and not Richard zimdall

I asked about reinforcing the roof due to the weight of the solar panels and he told me if it was necessary, he would do it as part of the job but it wasn't needed. A few months later, a contractor was up in my roof and he found several broken roof rafters due to the solar panel installation. It costed me $1,600 to repair the damage. Now, just over two years after installation, the electric company has informed me that my microprocessors have stopped working, the panels are not producing electricity and need replacement. Unfortunately, they do not recommend installers and they told me to call the person who installed my panels. Needless to say, I'm researching installers now. There is no way I will call Josh again. I suspect he used poor quality microprocessors and that's why they're failing.

I am one of those homeowners who will get multiple price quotes and do my homework on equipment brands, type of inverters and even seek out others in my area who have gone the solar route already for their experiences. I actually got 17 different solar quotes so I would recommend that anyone thinking about going solar would at least get a handful of estimates before making a decision. Some solar companies will offer you free stuff (like a bunch of LED light bulbs, a new thermostat, etc.) if you sign the contract with them but 'free' really is not free once you see that their quoted price is actually twice the price of the other companies. So I would highly recommend Ozark Solar for your solar needs.
