We stopped by each morning of our weekend stay for some coffee and breakfast and were pleased with the quality of everything! We enjoyed some specialty hot coffees most mornings and I was particularly happy that there were milk alternatives including oat milk. The kids enjoyed a breakfast sandwich one day and bagels on the others and I enjoyed a chia pudding one morning too. It is worth noting that if you are seeking a hot breakfast such as a breakfast sandwich, you can only get that after 7am, which didn't work out so great for us. They were extremely strict about this too. (Even at 6:50, they wouldn't take an order as they said they could not prepare anything other than what was ready in the case until after 7.) Aside from that, it's a cute coffee shop with plenty of seating, located centrally in downtown Eau Claire, as the name implies!

If you just sang that ditty in your head like the Muppets, you're already in the right mood for a visit to the Menomonie Food Co-op Market. This market is as effortlessly fun and cool as Janice from Electric Mayhem, but with less trout pout and more lentil dip. "Fer sure!" Here are the highlights that you really don't want to miss! THE BREAD SITUATION: The artisanal rosemary sourdough loaf from One Love Bread is the stuff boy bands are made of. This bread is basically what happens if you roll Harry Styles in flour and water. It really deserves its own Manchester disco-dancing fan club, but for now I'll just sing its praises. DAIRY AND DAIRY ALTERNATIVES: I was totally NSYNC with this section. I'm not even sure what plants half of them came from, but they looked intriguing. Had I brought a cooler, my fridge would have undergone quite the calcium glow up! SODA ALTERNATIVES: This was the real Big Time Rush! We studied the sodas for a solid ten minutes like raccoons who'd discovered a vending machine. There are flavors and brands here I've never seen in the wild...some with names I can't pronounce (but absolutely bought)! The store was very clean and organized, and if the employees had been any friendlier, they'd have been covered in yellow feathers. In summary: great bread, fantastic selection, kind humans, and a soda aisle that deserves its own documentary. 5/5, will return. Probably for more bread. Definitely for more weird soda. Statler: "That was a long review!" Waldorf: "I wanted it to end five minutes ago! DOHOHOHO!" Ma Na Ma Nah.

Their brewed coffee is smooth, less acidic, medium bodied w delightful berry & caramel tastes. I am impressed. The latte is okay - I think the only thing is that the milk temperature is too hot (steam time too long) so the drink lost the natural sweetness and the silky texture from the milk a bit. The lemon bar is creamy and yummy, perfect to eat w the coffee. We will definitely return next time when we are back in Eau Claire!
