Looking forward to trying this one.

What a great find in the PNW! Of course, you could throw a stone in any direction and find a coffee hut, but to find a coffee roaster and source for great beans is a bonus! They're located inside the Old Apple Warehouse which, itself, is a treasure with some tables for enjoying a nice, deli-style lunch. I was there for coffee (a friend's suggestion). The coffees they had for sale were a bit limited. But, I was able to find a bag of medium roast beans that would make for a good "baseline" test. Brewing a pot the next morning ... WOW! Great, rich flavor - a lot less in-your-face than the aroma that assails you (in a good way) when you open the bag. Very smooth, no bitterness with a slight "mocha" influence. Price for the 14 oz (seriously? - not a full pound?) bag is fairly okay. Not Starbucks pricey, but a bit more than off-the-shelf commercial and TOTALLY worth it. Looking forward to trying a DARK roast next visit.

A great little coffee oasis in the middle of an area bereft of cute high end coffee places. Great coffee great breakfast burrito, nice pastries! Worth a trip!

A friend was showing me around the area and I was falling asleep from my long travels (two three-hour flights plus the SEA-GEG hop) and I wanted some coffee to help me get through the afternoon. She pulled up to Crandall Coffee, which is located inside a large and wonderful looking shop. Her toddler was asleep, so I did not have the opportunity to stay awhile, but I would have loved to. There were plenty of tables and chairs (with no one there!), wifi, and then the rooms and rooms of cute shop to look at. I ordered a latte to go, and it was properly prepared. The foam was nice and thick and the whole drink was a pleasant temperature. It was a bit hotter than I prefer, but I know that I tend to like my drink temps a little more temperate than most. The coffee flavor was strong and well-balanced. I think this shop is definitely destination worth seeking out.

I only get to stop in when I'm driving over the mountain and my drinks are perfect every time. I've ordered oatmilk lattes/redbull/lotus'/breakfast sandwiches and I've never been disappointed! Plus it's quick every time and the ladies that work here are so sweet! Extensive flavor list to choose from too which is always great.

So, stumbling upon one along a highway is no big thing. But then along comes Miss B's Haven - just the name alone should make you stop. They had a sign out front advertising "16 oz Cinnamon Latte" for $3.50. A cinnamon latte on a chilly November morning sounded so good, so I had to stop. Service is prompt - she came to the window right away, took my order and I was back on the road in less than 5 minutes. But, more importantly, that's some GOOD FREAKIN' COFFEE!! It was steaming hot, great cinnamon flavor - not overpowering and not overly sweet and just the right amount of froth. It was perfect! I almost wanted to turn around and get another. BUT, I certainly will be making regular stops since I now live right down the road from them.

What a gem. I've been by here dozens of times and never stopped. I wish I hadn't passed it by…read more This is an old school type diner that is clean and tidy. The staff were all super friendly and the waitress knew every local by name and greeted them all. She was just friendly to me and brought coffee in a Harley mug as she saw me pull in on mine. This is definitely biker friendly with a nicely paved lot. The Mickie omelette was outstanding and the smaller version was just right for me. The toast they use is some of the best I've ever had. It feels weird to give a shout out to wheat bread, but it's deserved. This will be a must stop for future trips through the area. While it may look a little tired on the outside, what happens inside is well worth the stop.

Kettle Falls has over 1600 people in its population, "and one grouch." Well I got a chance to meet…read morethe grouch at her restaurant. Little Gallea is somewhat of an institution in this town. They just serve breakfast and close at noon. The parking lot, and inside dining area, is usually quite busy. It's bright, it's clean and now under new owners. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with the "German sausage." The Grouch took my order, all the while displaying UNgrouch-like qualities. She was cordial, prompt ... very pleasant; all the things you would look for in quality service. My breakfast came quickly. The pancakes were delicious; loaded with plump blueberries. The sausage was somewhat disappointing. As I'm finding out up here in the PNW, "sausage" more than likely means a fat, smoked hot dog. At least, that's been my experience whenever I order it ... in quite a few places now. Nevertheless, it was tasty and juicy and went well with the pancakes. And, FYI, the coffee is good too. Prices are very reasonable. I'm sure Little Gallea will be around a lot longer with the new crew. I'm hoping they'll expand to accommodate evening dining someday soon. Until then, I'll keep enjoying the breakfasts ... with bacon next time.
