This place was close, open early, and cheap (3 of my 4 requirements!) My cuts are pretty straightforward, so the negative reviews didn't sway me one way or the other. Hard to mess up "8 inches off the bottom, all one length, shampoo no blowdry." Walked in and was greeted and helped immediately (it was 9:30am so they hadn't been open for more than half an hour at that point). Anu was the woman that helped me. She had a thick accent and didn't talk much but that's OK. She was very quick and efficient. Used a tea tree treatment on my scalp to help my dry winter skin (felt amazing!). Told her exactly what I wanted and she delivered. No unwanted, pushy up selling... it was offered at the end but when I declined she left it at that. Whole thing: shampoo, cut, tea tree, and a leave-in conditioner was $18 out the door and I was done in 30 minutes. Would definitely come back here. Price is right, and if you're not looking for anything fancy there's no reason to go anywhere else!

We discussed what I was looking for and she made several suggestions as to what procedures we should do and what I could use at home to help my hair. I am so happy to report that all the areas of breakage have now grown back and my hair is the healthiest it's ever been. Kristen is a great stylist who takes her time to listen to your concerns and makes suggestions to help your situation. If someone comes in asking for help and does not listen to her suggestions and requests a treatment that may not be the best for your hair and you dont listen to her recommendations, then it's not her fault if your hair did not turn out as expected. I noticed that my son was very upset, so I went over to speak with him and check on how he was feeling. At that point, one of the hairstylists started shouting at me. I calmly explained that I was only trying to talk to my son because he was unhappy with his haircut. I also asked them not to treat me disrespectfully. The hairstylist who cut my son's hair then came over and asked whether we were happy with the haircut. I honestly said no, because my son was already crying and clearly upset. Instead of handling the situation professionally, multiple employees started shouting at me. I felt intimidated, disrespected, and unfairly treated. The way they behaved toward me made me feel that I was being targeted because of my race. The situation was so upsetting that I even felt like calling the police. As a parent, I have every right to check on my child and express my concerns when he is unhappy with a service. I expected professional and respectful treatment, but instead, my son and I had a very unpleasant experience. I am extremely disappointed with the poor haircut and, more importantly, the way the staff treated us. I believe this incident deserves to be taken seriously and properly addressed by management.
