This was a small and perfectly formed little cafe we happened across in our adventures in Helensburgh. I'm Scottish and being back in the homelands I decided to plump for Haggis, Neeps and tatties - which definitely did not disappoint. My dining companion was English and has heard me wax lyrical about the almost spiritual experience that is Stornaway black pudding, so he opted for this, which was served with crispy Ayrshire bacon and apple chutney. "Life changing food experience" in his words.
The cafe is very cosy, I think possibly only 8 tables in total, but we were made to feel very welcome indeed. Wish that we had left some room for their delicious looking home made cakes however. read more
