Me and my partner decided to give Humbles a try after hearing great reviews from family - we won't be listening to recommendations from them again. We're both local but had just never been in before, and we hadn't been missing out on much. We sat down and promptly had our drinks order taking by the least enthusiastic waitress I've ever come across in my life. At the time we didn't think much of it, maybe she was having a bad day, happens to everyone. After waiting twenty or so minutes and not seeing hide nor hair of the coke and white coffee we'd ordered my day was starting to look a bit worse as well. Our food order was taken - one pizza, one pasta - but still no drinks appeared. Another twenty minutes passed, our food arrived, and the disinterested waitress commented on the fact we had no drinks. We thought she had rushed away to make them but as they took another ten minutes to come this clearly wasn't so. May I just point out the cafe wasn't full, there were maybe another three tables in. The food was more than disappointing. My £8 pizza was from a supermarket box and almost black on one side. I could have burned a £3 co op pizza myself at home. My boyfriends pasta was bland and, again, not worth the money for something we could easily have done better at home. We left, well over an hour later, fully disappointed and with absolutely no plans to return. Would. Not. Recommend. read more
