BEWARE! Our Brooklyn Coop had a horrendous experience with Commercial Roof USA (apparently, Flat…read moreRoof Doctor's predecessor) regarding a new roof they installed on our building about which would-be customers should be aware. Specifically, we hired Commercial to install a new roof on our building, having been lead to believe they were authorized to do business in the State of New York, that their work would be no less than workmanlike, and that they warranted their work and materials for 20 years in the event of any problems with the roof -- all of which turned out to be COMPLETELY FALSE. Commercial, and apparently Flat Roof Doctor, is not authorized to do business in New York State, their work was sub par and incomplete, and they failed to honor their written warranty after we experienced significant leaks during a rain storm. Perhaps worse of all -- if all of that were not enough -- was dealing with Naas Ferreira, who is the most unprofessional contractor we have ever worked with and who treated us with enmity and anger -- as evidenced by an unbroken string of a dozen or so hostile text messages in which he rants and raves like a petulant child. We ended up having to hire another roofer to fix the problems with Commercial's shoddy work and to sue Commercial to recoup our losses. We URGE to to AVOID Commercial and any other business in which Naas Ferreira has an interest (such as Flat Roof Doctor) AT ALL COSTS. And, FYI -- we are being forced to give them a star rating even though they do not deserve even one start.

11/3/16 Never in my…read morewildest dreams did I imagine writing a positive review about a roofing company. However, Commercial Roof USA is so deserving of praise. I live in a Brooklyn Brownstone apartment with a flat roof that has been leaking. Multiple prior roofers evaluated the leak and a new roof membrane was placed, however, the problem persists. To make things more complicated there is now a roof deck above the new roof membrane. Desperate to find someone that could help me find and repair the leak, I scoured the internet and came across Commercial Roof USA and Naas Ferreira. They had previously received wonderful recommendations in the Brownstone forums. I spoke with Naas directly. He could not have been more helpful on the phone and made it clear he was always available. His business is family owned. He sent his sons Erik and Sven to check my roof. They could not have been nicer, more professional or more honest. Erik crawled around under my deck and evaluated every inch of the roof to look for problems. He found several spots on the flashing of the new roof that were the likely culprits. Needless to say, this job would have been much easier if there was not a roof deck, but Erik was determined to do all in his power to not damage anything unnecessarily. More work will be needed, but I won't let any other roofer near my roof deck other than Naas and his sons. It is such a breath of fresh air to see a small family business maintain such high standards and be so successful. Congratulations and thank you Naas and family at Commercial Roof USA! Bonny J.
