Visited a winery, distillery and brewery. As a bachelorette party we had a great time touring and I f you love history and stories, choose Coby. He is incredibly knowledgeable, super sweet and great company. We had a blast going from location to location, never rushed, got some incredible photos (courtesy of Coby!) and really enjoyed our time! Would absolutely recommend this tour and do it again.

We booked this for a bachelorette party and it was the highlight of the trip!! Mr. John picked us up right on time and was so wonderful the entire day! We would ABSOLUTELY book again!!

The service is #1, beginning with a Luxury vehicle that picks you up at your location and then will drop you off accordingly as well. The driver Toni, was a pure delight. She was willing to accommodate any of our needs and actually took pictures for me and my wife. The tour itself was great; they took us to a breathtaking 400 year old live oak tree (simply incredible to see), followed by a winery/distillery tour and finally to a craft beer location. All in all, great value for your dollar and excellent service to pair.

Crafted Travel was perfect for our group! Seven of us came to Charleston for a bachelorette party and we booked the Sip and Tour and it was so fun! We were picked up in a luxury bus and taken to a wine tasting on a vineyard. We had time to enjoy the scenery and the grounds which was great! We also went to a brewery that had food options, local beers, and puppies! It made our day. Josh was so great and took pictures and all!

(He had red hair but I can't remember his name). He was entertaining with a few jokes here and there and very knowledgeable about the area. He answered questions along the way. It's interesting how the city manages the tours. We rode to a city station and they gave us a card which indicated which area we had to take. Each guide has some freedom in which route they take through the designated area. All of this means is that you could take the tour multiple times and see different things each time. You don't get a choice in where you sit but our group of two got the front seats. Great for unobstructed views but not so good when your nose fills with a whiff of what's in the horse diaper. Traffic and the carriage rides seem to get along well. The horses are well tended to and are rotated from the stables to pasture on a regular basis. We thank Cliff our horse for a fun smooth ride.

During my first visit to Charleston a few years ago, I took one of their daytime carriage tours and left feeling... underwhelmed. I didn't learn all that much, the tour wasn't especially memorable, and I wrote that I'd rather have explored the city on foot. Fast forward to my most recent visit when one of my friends wanted to do the Haunted Carriage Tour. Since it was something different, I happily went along and I'm glad I did. Our horse, Ron, was a 2,000 pound French Percheron and wow.... talk about a workhorse! From what I observed, the horses seemed well cared for despite the small stable. It was fun learning a little about Ron before we set off. Our guide, Matt, was informative, engaging, and did a great job mixing Charleston history with the haunted stories. While I'm not really into ghost tours, I still learned quite a bit. In fact, my favorite takeaway wasn't haunted at all - it was learning the difference between a graveyard and a cemetery. This tour also had a digital component as we were prompted to scan the QR code to see photos of the individuals/"ghosts" he was talking about. The tour also gave us another opportunity to see Charleston from a different perspective and this time around I enjoyed riding through the historic streets by carriage. Overall, this experience was much more enjoyable than my first. The company clearly has these tours down to a science and if you're deciding between a daytime tour and the haunted evening tour, I'd surprisingly recommend the latter. I'm glad I gave Old South another chance.

As part of our stay, I selected a private carriage ride, which was provided through Palmetto Carriage Works. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and efficient. They quickly handled a large group ahead of us and made sure we were on our way without much of a wait. When it was our turn, we met our driver, Brian, and he absolutely made the experience. He quickly picked up on how much we already knew about Charleston and tailored the tour accordingly. He seemed to have an endless supply of stories, history, and interesting details, and he kept us entertained throughout the entire ride. We laughed, talked, and genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. Brian was knowledgeable, personable, and incredibly engaging. I cannot recommend him or Palmetto Carriage Works highly enough. Our Charleston based tour planner and staff at our Beaufort B and B raved about Janet's tour and how she brings the city of Beaufort and its magnificent homes and history to life. Unfortunately her delegate who gave us our tour on June 5 was UNACCEPTABLE. I believer we would have enjoyed our two hours more just walking around on our own. We learned more of Beaufort's history, houses and residents on our Dolphins Adventures Tour than we did with this replacement guide. There were only 4 of us on the tour and the guide spent the entire time talking with two phd child psychology students, a couple, trying to impress them with his knowledge of their field of study. He spent more time on this than talking about Beaufort. We traditionally love walking tours as it allows for engagement with the guide etc. We were ignored like we were not even on the tour zero engagement the exact opposite of every other one of our tours on our two week trip. . A church was unlocked for us to walk in. Unfortunately a number of others sauntered in the open door and we had to wait a good 15 minutes while the others moseyed around the interior used the bathroom (queued) etc. as our guide had to wait until they left. Because he had to lock up.

Parking was easy to find in the waterfront marina departure point. Raul led the tour, and did a decent job in covering the history of Beaufort and going over both history and architecture of homes in the area, as well as pointing out where some movies were filmed locally. I liked that the tour ventured out of the historic part of town to go to the Beaufort National Cemetery, as it's one of those places people visiting would otherwise likely skip out on. Overall, I'd rate the tour 4 stars, as I didn't like it as much as other Atlantic coastal town tours I've done in the past (Southport, for example), and this tour was a bit more expensive in comparison (but still worth it). I also thought it was a bit much to be told to leave a review by the guide, and also receive messages via both email and text message to review as well.
