It offers you the chance to buy a piece of ready made pottery and then paint and decorate it yourself, whilst there, and then after about a week or two you can go and pick up your perfectly finished piece. I remember when it first opened I went along with my mum and I decorated a plate for my friend, I was so proud of it. It allows you the chance to make some really unique gifts or personal items. They have every type of pottery you expect and all of the paints to make them gorgeous. Prices start at £4 for a piece of pottery and whilst you're there you can enjoy refreshments such as cakes and coffees. It's a great place to take the kids on the school holidays or go with a friend. They also cater for parties and I can recommend this as a fun way to enjoy a birthday!

Had a terrible time at Fired Up today. I took my 3 yr old…read moreson to Fired Up today in Petts Wood, and one of the member of staff was very rude, insensitive and inappropriate to us. My son has always enjoyed painting, so he started painting straight away. He loves painting with black so he started with black. I was just taking my coat off as my son painted away, then a member of staff shocked me with a very loud, impolite and patronising voice aross the table through all the other children and all my friends (it was a birthday party) : 'Excused me! You will HAVE TO pay for that separately, DO YOU know THAT?! It's NOT part of the party deal! AND if you paint with black, it WILL NOT come out very nice!' - everyone went quiet, and my son stopped painting with a shocked face. I was also shocked - nothing to do with the message she was trying to deliver, but the way she said it. I said I'm fine with whatever color my son wanted to use, and I WILL pay for it separately in the end if that's case. I wanted to say more, but I didn't want to ruin the little girl's birthday party. What made me feel very upset was that, for the rest of the party, my son never touched the color black again! After the party, my son said to me that he did not like the way the member of staff spoke to us, and it made him feel ashamed. So, I would NOT recommend Fired Up pottery painting studio (129 Queensway, Petts Wood, Kent, BR5 1DG) to anyone who wants their children to create art freely, to express their very own personality through painting, or to simply have a good time. They are an independent gift shop and café Chislehurst in the High Street…read more   The unique shop sells homewares, clothing, accessories, food and gifts from established brands and more unusual and artisan traders. So want something slightly different then check this place out. The Café at Wrattens serves simple food, done well from fresh wholesome home-made cakes to bacon butties alongside quality coffees, teas and soft drinks. In fact this place gave me the best tea I have ever had in any cafe / tea room. I also love the wooden tables, beige/brown colour scheme and the fact that they make their own food. The staff are also very pleasant, happy and welcoming.
