I hadn't been here for years until today, I used to be a regular in my A level and art foundation years and am so glad I still live relatively close by. I was only dropping in for some thread but had a proper browse because they always have such fun stuff. I was really impressed with the newer bridal section upstairs and had to refrain from buying so many pretty things just because! They sell all the basics from fabrics and haberdashery, knitting supplies, a whole range of other crafts and some limited tools as well. The staff are always really friendly and helpful and I noticed there were a lot more of them then there used to be which was great! read more

Holy crap. How have I been living here for so many years, lamenting the lack of good, all-round crafting and sewing shops and not been told about this place?! The Sewing and Craft Superstore is a bit unassuming from the outside, but inside it's a bit of an Aladdin's Cave of crafting. Papercraft, jewellery, knitting/crochet + basic yarns (mostly acrylic), sewing & general haberdashery, cake decorating & sugarcraft, + a very nice selection of fabrics for fashion & home decor. This place has a little of everything. The selection is nice and the prices are really reasonable. Certainly better in many cases than Hobbycraft and the like! The shop could do with a really good dust and polish - it's definitely more about the product than the presentation here. However, even though it looks a bit worse for wear, the staff were all really helpful and kind. I was made to feel very welcome and will absolutely be shopping here more in the future! read more

Fantastic craft supply and fabric shop! It has a huge variety of fabrics at decent prices, a great haberdashery department, some wool, lots of jewellery making items and general craft supplies! It's a little wonderland for crafty creative people and a must see if you're looking for materials for your next project. read more

I went to the store for the first time this week and was very impressed! The store is huge and has such a huge variety of products. I went specifically as I was missing a part for my sewing machine, the lady that helped me was extremely helpful! She did not have the part in stock and offered to order it, but she then had an idea and took the part off a display machine so I could take it home that day and start sewing again. I am so pleased, I will defiantly be going back again, thanks for all the help!! read more

Whoa, what a mess! I'm sampling as many craft stores in London as I can and this one is stuffed! There are tons of items but not a lot of quality things that I found. Felting, buttons, cake decorating, upholstery/dressmaking/quilting/bridal fabric, beading,... Don't know what you'll find under these piles! Place needs a good overhaul and rearranging. I recently bought a sewing machine with aid from Pat and Jill machinest experts. They have been so helpful and allowed me to return again and again for advice and guidance. I enrolled in a haberdashery course and ordered some upholstery fabric. Unfortunately the fabric did not arrive on the date as stated. I was very unhappy and disappointed. However Philip reordered my fabric chased the company up to find out what had happened. He delivered the fabric to m home waiting outside for one hour until I got home as I work quite a way from the store and as I needed it for class the next day. He didn't complain once, he went above and beyond to ensure I received the correct order and in time. I am so grateful for the service I received and the finished product was a great success. read more

Amazing selection of everything craft!!! From fabrics and cords, to beads, dyes, cake supplies (you can hire a tin to make a special cake), sewing machines and much much more all under one roof. Seriously one of a kind shop. Love! read more

I found everything I was looking for. Although it was a 45 minute tube ride from London it was worth it. Everyone was helpful and I was able to get everything I needed. Lots of fabric, notions, crafts and some sale fabrics also were available. I thought the prices were very fair. I highly recommend your trying it. read more
