Allow me to start by saying that the owner of this farm Mrs. Carolyn truly loves what she does and it really comes across. I'd been wanting to see alpacas in person after seeing a fellow Yelper take pictures of one, so after searching the internet I found this wonderful place. Mrs Carolyn was super accommodating ( it's a 3 1/2 drive ) and it's well worth the drive in my opinion. After exchanging a few emails we talked on the phone and picked a day and time that was convenient for us both. We got a personal tour of the entire farm ( Mrs. Carolyn knows everything about her animals including the smallest of details that really give you a sense of how much she really loves the animals in her care. It felt like we had known Mrs. Carolyn for years even though we'd met, her farm was cleaner and smelled better than some people's homes that own pets that I've been in. At the end of the our time we got a chance to purchase some of the yarn that's made from the alpaca's fur ( go online and try to buy alpaca yarn it's SUPER expensive ) that was a real treat in itself. Oh she's got a donkey that the sweetest animal I ever met , it was just like a little puppy that followed us around just to get petted. I'll say this in closing this is a trip that truly worth the drive and it's a place that we've already talked about visiting again ( there's a Air B & B on the property if you'd like the stay overnight) and you should too. read more
