It is certainly popular as we were lucky to get in despite staying here. We understood there were 2-3 parking spaces for the inn but it turned out that it was not quite right as there was no checking on the vehicles that occupied the parking. For the first two nights we had to park 1km away in P2. Unloading luggage in the street when there is no parking will hold up traffic both ways but it seems this is normal if inconvenient. Our room was clean and because we chose to keep our towels and sheets for the stay we were given $30 discount at the bar ( we didn't use them as the bar was only open with meals) The bed was comfortable but you might need your distance glasses to see the TV which is low tech with few channels. The shower is over a very slippery bath but there is a bar to hold on to. The inn is a short walk with lots of stairs to the shops, bars and chairlifts.

I had the chicken roulade with blue cheese as the main and it was delicious. I love the mash and that helped to cut down the richness of the cheese. I also tried the waffle with ice cream for dessert and it was really good. The waffle was not burnt, and the combination of smooth vanilla ice cream + caramel sauce and warm waffles was a win! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Thredbo village. The service was excellent. Our waitress came to check in on us a couple of times even though it was a full house ! (Do make a reservation to avoid disappointment!)

You can actually take the chairlift as a "tourist" (without skis) also, as there's only small number of chairlifts that can be used for non-skiers. The food is delicious, there's multiple choices, prepared and cooked available. They have daily changes to the menu also, especially if they know the weather's going to be bad and some chairlifts shut. They used to be cash only but not anymore. Still bring cash, just in case haha. They have outside seating but really in the freezing cold no-one goes for that. So snatch a table first before you snatch the food. They don't have table service, you must go and order. They also have a bar if you're in the mood for some alcoholic beverages. Enjoy the warmth and enjoy the food.

Paul and Cara are lovely hosts who have recently renovated the studio, installing new fittings and high-quality furnishings. There's a super comfortable queen bed (new mattress), a basic kitchenette (stocked with EVOO, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, tomato and BBQ sauces, tea & coffee), baby Weber Q BBQ, lounge/dining area, flat screen TV, surround sound system and good bathroom with large shower. All in our group were happy with our selections which were reasonably large and cooked as expected, I'm usually hesitant to order a steak in a pub but after a day of physical activity I was very keen for the protein top-up and was pleasantly surprised that the steak was a near perfectly cooked medium-rare, no easy feat when so busy and not something I usually expect given the circumstances.
