Dropped in for a reasonably quick dinner with some friends who I was in town with for an event. We were after a reasonably quick meal, generous in size and tasty. I ordered the trio of schnitzels, consisting of three generously sized schnitzels - beef, pork and chicken. Underneath was a tasty potato salad but an only-ok sauerkraut.
The schnitzels were perfectly fine, perhaps a tad dry if I was to be critical but not so much that I did not give all three of them a good home. Accompanied by a lovely dark German Erdnger Dunkel it was the meal that we were looking for. Nothing fancy and nothing innovative but honest and filling.
Service was friendly, the atmosphere quaint and obviously very fitting with the alpine setting. read more
