This was our first time working with Crabtree CPA (2014 Taxes), and I must say it was an Awesome experience! We've done our taxes on our own in the past, however, this year was particularly complex - a couple of moves, getting married, stocks...you get the picture. Our first meeting with Douglas Crabtree went very smoothly, we had a great conversation and developed a good rapport. Doug is an amazing CPA and I would trust him with our taxes again in the future. Of course if you're asking for a 24 hour turn around in early april, you're probably going to be disappointed with anyone. However, if you're looking for an fantastic CPA who is fun, knowledgeable, and professional, Doug is your man! The guy knows taxes in and out and was able to answer all my questions in easy to understand responses. My taxes this year were more complicated than they have ever been in the past, but this year felt like a breeze getting through them thanks to Doug and Crabtree CPA. I feel like my wife and I have finally found a CPA who is our trusted adviser. I feel a huge weight lifted from our shoulders after finding a CPA who has our back! Worst experience I've ever had getting my taxes done. You're honestly better off doing them yourself and saving yourself the stress and headache. Deadlines were repeatedly extended, which ended up costing me a significant amount of money. Communication was extremely poor-calls were rarely returned, and every time I reached out, I spoke with a different person and had to explain my situation all over again. I would strongly recommend doing your research before choosing Crabtree for your tax preparation. read more

I wish I had a different review for Doug and his team. we adhered to the schedule and followed his advice but our taxes were not filed on time. The office is almost impossible to get updates from and made basic accounting errors that thankfully we corrected as soon as copies were available for review. Our personal and business taxes had thousands of dollars in late fees and he never submitted letters to IRS that he said he would to resolve it. Sad to stay I had a very disappointing experience w/Crab Tree CPA. My taxes were filed late with no explanation, over 10 e-mails and phone calls were blatantly ignored, and I am still receiving bills for unexplained services. I had all of my information prepared months in advance and my taxes were still filed late. In addition to all of the bad service I received, the price of my tax prep was very high. Last year I paid $210 for excellent and quick services. This year I got stuck w/Crab Tree and am paying upwards $500. Be Warned! read more

Very disappointed with Crabtree CPA. It's been 3 months and my taxes are still not done! Would suggest that the entire office go through sensitivity training - thought my daughter was disabled even after he met her. Will be looking for another CPA on the Cape! read more

I have used turbo tax for years, but when I had some fears / concerns about stock / shares that I exercised on my 2014 tax year, I needed some serious help from an experienced CPA. I have owned a business for years and I had a lot of questions. It was impossible to get the help I needed from the Turbo Tax internet site, which has itself caused some expensive mistakes and oversights over the years. I wanted someone local and close to home that I could actually talk to in person and an adviser who would make time for me when I needed it. Crabtree CPA not only got back to me the same day as I sent an email, Douglas Crabtree saw me the next day on a Saturday. He is incredibly responsive, reliable, professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. He personally helped me in the area that I was struggling with, and I left his office with assurance that my taxes would now be completed without doubt and fear. And must say, he is easy to talk to, and takes the time to explain his findings. If you work with him, you'll find that he's also a good guy. He genuinely seemed interested in my work and situation, and he's made some key recommendations to me that have given my business a real boost.
