I have been out of the "Reef Tank game" for almost five years. I've had my tank the entire time, I just quit buying anything that wasn't necessary to keep it running. I didn't even change the water for the last 3.5 years. I had a catastrophic loss five years ago that crushed my will to rebuild. My heater controller malfunctioned and stuck on. My dumbass had two 500w titanium tubes in it during the summer, and heated the tank water to 93 degrees before someone saw the cloud of death in the tank. After three consecutive, daily,100 gallon water changes I tried to save what I could but I lost upward of $15k worth of animals. One of my friends owned the LFS so I had some doozies. I always got first look and the tank had irreplaceable corals in it. Only six corals and five fish made it. Sad day man. I didn't even look at it for a long time.... My kids would clean the glass for me every now and then. I couldn't bring myself to break it down or rebuild it. Present day: Only one fish left in the tank so bio load was minimal. I finally did a water change and to everyone's amazement the tank parameters were still dead on. I guess I've gotten good at eyeballing. The six corals that made it are the size of basketballs now. I did a big chop and made a bunch of frags and sold them off locally. Time to buy some new corals and fish!! I have never gotten a shipment of corals that were this well packaged. The water was 77.7 degrees on arrival and the salinity was 1.026. Spot on exactly as my tank. The way they packed it was brilliant. Double bagged individually and in the bags were plastic cups supporting the frag plugs to prevent damage. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I got six corals, and a medium clean up crew of snails and crabs. All alive and zero coral damage to even the most delicate ones. The corals are nothing short of amazing! The colors are better than the pics online. Polyps were extended in minutes after I added them. These guys brought my passion back with this shipment. WYSIWYG is the way to go with these folks man, you will not be disappointed. Buy a lot, you will have no regrets. My next purchase will be a couple "frag packs" to help get restocked. I'll try and get some pics of the new corals in the tank. Blue light makes it hard to get decent pics.

Nevertheless, my curiosity prompted me to stop in. I was definitely impressed with the quantity and variety of aquarium tools and aquatic life that they carry. The displays were beautiful. After I had a chance to look around, one of the staff asked me if they could assist me or answer questions. They were able to answer all of my questions, but they didn't have a solution for me and this was no surprise for me. If I were a saltwater enthusiast, I think that I would consider shopping here based upon the location, the variety of supply and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. For now it is a 4 star because I don't have the experience of purchasing and/or assessing quality of animals or service.

In less than 2 weeks I had an avian vet bill for $1,005.45 and a fatal prognosis. Thank god he was quarantined from my other birds, but the parakeet I also got from Love Bird on the same day and is also sick (but looks likely to make it) will have to be quarantined from them forever and never be able to join the aviary. How many birds in your store were exposed to this virus? How many of them are off in new homes spreading it? I think it's really suspect as well that I can't leave this review on Google because reviews were paused due to too many suspicious high ratings.

These animals are kept in are not acceptable in any way shape or form if you're unable to how is those type of animals for the what should be short maybe a couple months or so until they find a home then you shouldn't be purchasing them to sell the other people I do not understand why there was a very adult turtle that looked pretty full grown probably around a foot to 8 inches inside of a very small tank with no basking and no light not to mention they have birds and those birds are kept in the exact same room as their hamsters guinea pigs, etc. and those birds are very known to be very talkative Which are most birds, but being held in the same room to where you can tell that the hamsters and other sorts are stressed running around, trying to get out starting fights in their cage is completely unacceptable. Not to mention the smell and the cleanliness of this place the dust everywhere I get it some products don't get used often or you have a stock pile but removing them and cleaning up it is not that difficult. I've worked in Customer Service for basically my entire life, and while the gentleman was kind of nice was also very condescending like he knew everything. The problem with that is if you knew everything, the shop would not look the way it looked considering we were told that it was a family owned business, and he was part of the family. I would think you know you would have a little bit of say about how these animals are kept. I know this isn't in the best part of town or anything like that not expecting top dollar top-notch everything I'm expecting the animals to be in a healthy environment while they are being waited to be adopted by another family that will love and take care of them based on the conditions that I saw them in I would never purchase an animal from them because you do not know what type of condition that animal will be in when you receive it Unfortunately when I thought I was going into a very nice hole in the wall pet store I ended up coming out with a lot of questions that will never be answered on why this place is open and how people allow this place to be open
